Glenn Beck’s thorough interview with GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich Tuesday morning has gained traction in political news outlets throughout the day. Jim Geraghty of The National Review tweeted ”Bravo for a hard, fair, respectful, but deeply revealing interview of Newt!” and Glynnis MacNicol of the Business Insider writes that Beck “grilled” Gingrich in “a way conservative voters who are seriously considering voting for Newt should be eager to hear.”

This was the best interview of this guy to date. He was forced to answer for his record and the responses were shocking. It just showed that Newts defaults are set to Progressivism. Anyone who thinks there will be any changes in Washington to save the country, if Newt wins, are gravely mistaken.
Michelle Bachman described Newt perfectly when she appeared shortly after Newt’s interview.

Okay, you've convinced me. I'm switching from Newt to Romney.
What in particular about that interview was so shocking? Take the answer about prescription drugs under medicare. His point was that if Medicare was going to pay for heart surgery, it makes sense to pay for Lipitor which might save paying for a more costly surgery later on.
And if anyone says: “Let’s just abolish Medicare altogher” -good luck winning any election with that platform. I sincerely doubt that any senior, or someone who takes care of a senior parent wants medicare to go away.
It was a very revealing and hard hitting interview.
And it’s still between Newt and Romney. None of the other candidates who had traction at one point show any realistic (and rational) expectation they’ll recapture that. For the others, there’s not enough time.
That’s not a value judgement, it’s just reality.

I find it quite remarkable that he mysteriously had Bachmann on right after. The ankle biter went on to call Gingrich a socialist. If there was nay chance of her gaining ground in this campaign, she lost all of it right there.
Funny the ass kisser Beck didnt ask Bachmann about her reply in the Townhall debate about immigration since she is so pure and cute. Bachmann seems to forget her answer was exactly the same as Gingrich.
As some people think Ron Paul is a loon? Paul cant hold a candle to Beck, and that is saying a lot.
Oh and dont forget to buy your food insurance from...food insurance.
Why does it have to be a Mormon thing? He’s practically endorsed Bachmann. Last time I checked she’s not a Mormon. There’s nothing wrong with asking these questions. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still support him or think he’s not the best choice. No candidate is perfect but why not go into the election knowing everything about a candidate. At some point you may have to make a case for him beyond, “well Glenn Beck is a Mormon.”

So you are arguing that Newt is more Conservative than Bachmann? I don’ think so. No Conservative would have given that interview with those answers today.
