Encouragement for Herman Cain
http://www.hermancain.com/encouragement ^

Posted on 12/01/2011 8:25:19 PM PST by Apollo5600

From Team HC: Please take a moment to write Mr. Cain a note or record a short video sharing why you feel it is important for him to stay in the race and become the next President of the United States of America! We must unite and show Mr. Cain that he is not alone in this fight, but that WE THE PEOPLE stand firmly beside him and behind him! http://www.hermancain.com/encouragement

Apollo5600: I'm starting to get the feeling that Cain's staff are doing their best to keep Cain encouraged. It's quite tragic what is happening to Cain and our political system here. Please everyone, take the time to send Cain a message expressing your support or, at least, encouraging him to stay. The link above is pretty easy to use. You can submit straight to the website. It won't be trolled, since they are moderator reviewed.

I wrote a long one, "Ricardo Galvan" if you happen to see it. Probably hasn't been approved yet.

Don’t know why you’ve made up your mind so quickly, but it’s your mind.

When I read this, I changed my mind:

Herman Cain acknowledged Thursday that he repeatedly gave Ginger White money to help her with "month-to-month bills and expenses" without telling his wife of more than 40 years.
In fact, the embattled presidential candidate said, his wife, Gloria, "did not know that we were friends until she (White) came out with this story" alleging that the two had a 13-year extramarital affair.

Interview

These are not accusations, these are his statements from the interview. Helping some one once or twice, maybe. 13 years, and not telling your wife, STUPID. He may be innocent of sexual infidelity, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt, but not my confidence. I am concerned there will be more to come.

I also have Cain 2012 in my tag line, which makes it pretty clear who I’m rooting for.

Nobody is pushing Cain out if he does go! Cain would be doing that and most likely it’s going to be because he’s trying to repair his marrriage that’s why he said he’s going to meet his wife next and then come back and tell us what’s the status of his campaign

The 13 years thing has been repeated many times, but I’ve never heard that confirmed by Cain or staff. You also really have no evidence of how much money changed hands. Or, really, any evidence whatsoever for most of what y’all keep ranting on and on about. It’s almost as if we didn’t go through similar things like this with Bush, or Palin, or many others, where the media and the left make up lies to attack them, and depend on “the court of public opinion” to make absurd judgments.

This whole thing is a tabloid mess. And letting the left dictate this for you, or sitting around casting judgment based on no real evidence, on things you have no real control over or influence on, is simply absurd. It’s like watching these TV trials and debating, every night, if the guy is guilty or innocent.

You must not listen to Herman much - he said again tonight they’ve talked a lot and every day.

I’m a Cain supporter. My credentials are former Verizon Wireless employee, let go in August, wanted West to run, but West would not run, and a poster on West’s wall recommended Herman Cain. So I looked at Herman Cain. Liked the 999 plan. Began posting on my normal “home” forum and facebook discussing it, then defending 999, and then with the sexual harassment charges, decided to check to see if conservatives were giving up their support, and what Freepers thought, since I have been aware of this forum for years but never bothered to make an account.

If the Cain campaign can seriously afford to hire posters, I ask that any agent of the Cain campaign in the thread hire me, since it would be cool to get paid to do what I would be doing anyway.

It was Cain who said he was going to have the talk in person when he got back home. I have an idea why, but I won’t speculate here.

And not to tell your wife that you are giving the FAMILY money to another woman, to “help her out”. This is his wife’s money too. The two become one...as it says in the Bible. He is no longer his own person, but his wife’s, just as she is his. If it was innocent, why wouldn’t he tell his wife, so that she could be in on the generous behavior?
He vowed to God that he would “endow his wife with ALL his worldly goods”...he pledged his “troth”...then gave it to another woman. His wife is his life partner, she had a right to know what he was doing. He has betrayed her and hurt her and not even bothered to go home and speak to her about it face to face.

I certainly have lost all respect for him, not based on what others have said about him, but based on his own statements and the statement of his lawyer.

He did say he was friends with her, and if this "friendship" hasn't been going on for 13 years, I think that would be one of the first things Cain would have said.

You are correct, he has not confirmed the 13 years part. He has confirmed that he texted her, gave her an undisclosed amount of $, and his wife did not know about the money or the woman. He also confirms he has helped other "friends". See the interview here:

Interview

Starts at 17:45. His words, on tape.

I hate it, but me too. I got snookered, methinks.

Exactly.

The Economy is in total disaster around here.

I once paid two months on a ladies power bill to keep her lights from being turned off. I knew the lady she had two young kids why would I not help her I could without it causing me discomfort.

I did not hide if from my wife I just simply never thought to tell her. When wife found out she asked how was lady doing. NOT was I sleeping with her or were those my kids.

Marriage is supposed to be about trust. If you dont trust your spouse or she dont trust you, Get out. Life is to short.

He DID talk to his wife on the phone. He talks to her everyday. But he wants to talk to her face to face. Gloria was ticked about him giving this woman money without her knowing it but he evidently has a history of helping people in this way. His concern isn’t that his family isn’t behind him, they are, but how much this is affecting him.

This whole situation makes me sick. Anyone who thinks they won’t continue to do this with other candidates is fooling themselves. If our candidate is either Romney or Newt it’s going to be class warfare in addition to what they can dredge up (true or not). The media will do what they always do, they’ll beat our candidate to a bloody pulp until the whole country doubts our nominee. They do it because it always works. Until we wise up it always will.

I believe you, as I have no reason not to. I forget to tell my wife stuff all of the time, but there is no way that my giving money to another woman would have slipped my mind! I bought and installed a car battery for an unmarried lady just last week, took my 18 y.o. daughter with me, and told my wife beforehand. That way, she never has reason to doubt, or be surprised by "revelations".

My husband has a heart the size of Texas and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to find out he had done something like this (probably not in the amounts Cain can afford). However, we’ve been married for 30 years and he’s never given me any reason to doubt his love and commitment.
