Don’t know why you’ve made up your mind so quickly, but it’s your mind.

When I read this, I changed my mind:

Herman Cain acknowledged Thursday that he repeatedly gave Ginger White money to help her with "month-to-month bills and expenses" without telling his wife of more than 40 years.
In fact, the embattled presidential candidate said, his wife, Gloria, "did not know that we were friends until she (White) came out with this story" alleging that the two had a 13-year extramarital affair.

Interview

These are not accusations, these are his statements from the interview. Helping some one once or twice, maybe. 13 years, and not telling your wife, STUPID. He may be innocent of sexual infidelity, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt, but not my confidence. I am concerned there will be more to come.

And not to tell your wife that you are giving the FAMILY money to another woman, to “help her out”. This is his wife’s money too. The two become one...as it says in the Bible. He is no longer his own person, but his wife’s, just as she is his. If it was innocent, why wouldn’t he tell his wife, so that she could be in on the generous behavior?
He vowed to God that he would “endow his wife with ALL his worldly goods”...he pledged his “troth”...then gave it to another woman. His wife is his life partner, she had a right to know what he was doing. He has betrayed her and hurt her and not even bothered to go home and speak to her about it face to face.

I certainly have lost all respect for him, not based on what others have said about him, but based on his own statements and the statement of his lawyer.

He didn’t say he’d helped her over 13 years. She isn’t saying that either. He said he’s known her for 13 years. I’d bet there’s lots of people male and female that he’s formed friendships with over the years his wife doesn’t know about because it’s simply not that important. I’m sure my husband’s made friends through the years through various business contacts that I don’t know about. So what! What’s he supposed to do, write it down every day and send her a note about everyone he talked to, had lunch with, etc.

'... she (White) came out with this story" alleging that the two had a 13-year extramarital affair.'

jimmyray: Helping some one once or twice, maybe. 13 years,

The quote from the article you linked did not say that Cain has given her money for 13 years. I have not heard or read of him saying that. Do you have an actual quote or video clip of him saying that? Or do you just have poor reading comprehension?

On another note, if you are battling stage 4 cancer, do you have the energy, time or ability to carry on an extramarital affair?
