Ginger White, who today announced that she had a thirteen-year affair with Herman Cain, was the defendant in a libel suit this year. A judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff, Kimberly Bay, and stated that Ms. White had falsely libeled Ms. Bay. Ms. White reportedly lost the suit because she did not even bother responding to the case.
Ms. Bay had also sought a temporary stalking protective order against Ms. White, citing harassing emails, texts, and defamation of character. This case, however, was dismissed.
When asked about the libel suit in her interview with Fox Five, and why she should be trusted, Ms. White responded, "Well, because I admit it. Whatever happened with Kim and I, um, happened. Just as, what, what, there would make no sense to come out with these allegations against Herman if it absolutely wasn't true."

Wonderful!
That makes my heart happy tonight.
Am I supposed to care what you think about me or this story that you find troubling?
But the kinds of things you say about Cain—the names you call him and the way you try to get sympathy for his family—you’re just not believable.
For one thing—the only substance out there against Cain turns out, in every case, to be highly questionable innuendo from women showing every sign that they are desperate for money and/or attention. To say the things you’ve said against him is shameful, given the fact that you don’t have concrete evidence.
And it shows a desperation on your part as well.
As do you.
Oh yeah? Can you explain why Herman Cain, by his own admission, was providing financial assistance to this shady woman with a pretty checkered past? Can you explain the VERY regular communications between Cain and this woman (verified via her phone bills and a direct text to Herman which he responded to with an immediate call back)? And if the lady is of such poor moral character that she'd lie like this, why do you suppose Cain has been friends with her for so long (without his wife knowing about it apparently).
Is it possible you didn't know Herman Cain as well as you thought? You realize it is very common for people to find out the person they know is much different than they appeared.
Because that is how lawyers always talk. I have dealt with them and they like this sort of technical stuff. At times it is frustrating because you point out that they are not talking of the merit of the case when it is easily in your favor but making you look bad, and their response is that they are simply making a case for the point not to be heard even if true although it is not true.
I must have missed that. Perhaps someone can provide a link to his denial. It would sure help.
Do YOU realize that NOTHING you listed is evidence of an AFFAIR?
I do feel sorry for his wife. I think this must be terribly embarrassing for her.
As for Herman, I am not impressed with him, with or without bimbos.
I don't believe he is the only candidate who has been maligned and/or called names.
Some of Cain's supporters are the worst at calling other candidates names.
Believe it!
There were text messages. Thank goodness they didn’t tell us what those said!
The fact that they did not tell us does tell us something. They were NOT salacious because if they were we surely would have seen them. They were not sparing Mrs. Cain; there was nothing incriminating in them.
I agree it’s sick. It’s unfortunate that some regad politicians as saviors and then they are so devastated when the object of their worship turns out to be nothing more than a shyster.
Cain in his Mississippi riverboat gambler black hat has an aura of sleeze around him. His comments about this latest bimbo include one of the dodges he always inserts when he’s under pressure and knows he’s been found out—he said in the interview on CNN that she was a “friend” who needed a job, “etcetera and that sort of thing.” “Etcetera” is the word he always falls back on when he doesn’t know how to answer a question and he’s in a tight spot. Mr. Cain is going down. A campaign for president is no place for amateurs. I feel sorry for his little wife who, I believe, has a heart condition.
“Hes keeping his powder dry so he can sue her for slander.”
This one I’m afraid he MUST sue because of public perception. I know I’ve had a few (platonic) male friends through the years where we were so close we could call one another at any hour. Of course, neither of us was married at the time, but this gal with the cell phone records needs to be stopped in her tracks if she’s slandering Herman. Too many people are ignorant enough to be swayed by innuendo, false accusations and general perception.
His lawyer’s statement is troubling, however, in the way it’s worded. In an election at this level, of COURSE a person’s morals are the public’s business. I just don’t understand this atty. response.
Your thoughts?
Where did you see the phone records and texts? All I saw was a one-second small text shot of them - too hard to see who called who, time, etc.
There are many males that I corresponded with when working that I didn’t mention to my husband, because they were just part of my job, or shared a common interest in a policy or organization promoting educational goals.
Many of these contacts lasted over years of local school board and county council activities, involving lobby to the State on behalf of rural schools. My husband had better things to do with his time than expect me to tell him about everyone I was working with across the state, mostly by phone back in the day.
My husband and I have been known to give financial assistance to locals down on their luck, and some with difficult pasts. Whenever possible, we tried to go through a third party for our privacy. Bible tells us to do that, you know?
Could it be that Cain didn’t know this lady had a “poor moral character” (your words). From everything I have read about him, he seems to be dedicated to Christian living -
I do not know the man, but it seems important not to judge without reasonable proof, and I haven’t seen any yet.
You may be unimpressed with Cain, that’s fine.
But what if these allegations are as fabricated as they seem (to many of us)? If they are, then you have done nothing but contribute to slander and lies.
Oh! You read them?
Happens everyday... a wife learns that her husband has been friends with a woman for 13 years that she has never heard of.
BTW, he has helped the other woman financially.
"And that's when the fight began."
I think Cain is a jerk! That’s why I feel sorry for his wife...assuming she cares what he does.
You’re too shallow to even comprehend what was said.
So, if the allegations turn out to be true, what does that make all of you?
Yup, it could be that. Cain is a very social, personable human being. He really just might be very connected to a lot of people and tries to help out as many as possible.
This accusation could be complete trash, and we could be seeing a guy who just knows a lot of people and is being taken advantage of and stabbed in the back.
But watching his responses to these things, I have my doubts. Sorry, something is wrong. His reaction to this latest allegation seems very off.
I don’t think I’m in over my head... not with you!
