I recall an observation by a GI in a book that he had written about his WWII journey fighting through Italy, France then on into Germany. He said that as they cleared the Nazi troops out of the German villages (and with the sound of fighting still in the distance) the German civilians were already busy repairing roofs/windows, cleaning streets and etc....while back in Italy and France, they were still waiting for help to arrive.

Apparently only a handful of GI's survived the trip from Italy into Germany that he describes.

Technocrats will make their move, but ultimately the future resides in the decisions of individual Europeans. They can stop paying their loans, stop paying their taxes, barter, use other currencies like the dollar or Swiss franc, and British Pound. They can withdraw from official society and create a new society, completely ignoring the technocrats.

Essentially, this leaked memo proposes the creation of a "European Superstate" which will be crammed down the throats of the rest of Europe whether they like it or not. National sovereignty would be a thing of the past and European bureaucrats would run everything.

The rest of Europe should be very nervous.

Speaking of Hannan, his latest....

As Eurocrats are imposed on Greece and Italy, DANIEL HANNAN say's he'd rather be governed by the first 100 people in the phone book than unelected professors

Somebody loves Buckley.

I sure hope Merkle didn’t actually use the words “ultimate solution”.

So the Democrat/socialists in the US tried to prop up Europe so that the world wouldn’t see how bankrupt socialism is? Dinosaurs die hard.
