Gov. Palin tonight will reveal on Greta Van Susteren's On the Record which declared candidate she believes has the best chance of beating Obama in 2012, according to promotional language on Fox News' home page and in a promo video.
Ed. Note:
If the foregoing is true, we can reasonably conclude that all reconsideration, "earthquake" and other such efforts should cease. Further, this pick may or may not constitute an official Palin endorsement of a declared candidate.
My two cents is that she will pick Perry. She’s not only endorsed him before (for re-election as TX Gov.), but she also physically came down to do appearances with him, which is much more telling.
I think that, as a former governor herself, she will give huge weight to that factor (experience as a governor). And Perry has a track record of success as such, unlike Romney.
(Success, until he went to the debates. >< )
I don't think the former head of the Luftwaffe is a natural born citizen.
I think whom ever she picks...there will be a whole lot of disappointed folks.
My two cents; she should wait to endorse; until the field is narrowed to two or three.
I hope she says the truth: that the Republican best poised to defeat Obummer in the election is ... Sarah Louise Palin.
I agree on both counts.
Someone commented earlier that Greta didn’t really promise that Sarah would pick. I guess we’ll see!
Perry going along with a republican-dominated State legislature with the in-state tuition for kids of illegals does make him any less of a conservative governor. He’s as conservative as they come and his record speaks for itself.
Jefferson was also a terrible speaker and I think gave one speech his entire presidency. Guess in this day and age Thomas Jefferson couldn’t get the GOP nomination.
Can’t speak to (no pun intended) Jefferson’s speaking ability. But do not misunderstand me about Perry. He is still my choice as of today, despite his “don’t have a heart” idiocy and his stumbles in debates. I just put SO much weight into the track record of maintaining a pro-jobs climate in TX. SO much.
I wish I could take Mitt’s mouth (well, up to a point; there is such a thing as being TOO smooth), graft it onto Perry’s head, put Herman Cain’s horse sense inside, make him (Perry) better on illegal immigration, and run with THAT guy.

Where did I state she has no right? I’m offering MY opinion regarding what I believe is the right thing to do, and IMO, this move is not smart!
I believe Palin will run as an independent if Mitt is the nominee. She has to know that conservatives won’t vote for him....not saying she’ll win, but it will provide her with a good launching pad for 2016.
And in Thomas Jefferson’s age there’s no way that Reagan would have gotten the nomination.
What of it? Times change and our needs in a CINC change with it. What would Jefferson know about fighting Moslems, beating China, and commanding the greatest Air and Nuclear power the world has every seen?
Palin.....doing her best to s-—t-—r-—e-—t-—c-—h that fifteen minutes.
I am certain that if Jefferson had been born in the middle of the 20th century he would be more than capable of performing the duties of the presidency. Jefferson was a genius, the smartest president who has yet lived.
And let’s never forget that you don’t have to be too smart to be elected president, especially in the days of the electronic media. If that was the case GW Bush or Barry Soreto would have never gotten near the oval office.
We’ll see. Hopefully she “ain’t” that dumb.
I’m mailing the books back to Alaska then.
The title isn't based on Greta's blog. It's based on Palin Promotion's reaction to an on-air promotion a bunch of us heard with our own two ears on Fox last night. See my post #69 for more details. Which, BTW, I posted to you with no response. Curious.
No, you’re the one who should be ashamed of yourself. You want her to support a guy who didn’t even know what the “right of return” is? A guy who didn’t even know which side Obama backed in Libya? I can’t see her endorsing Cain.
After the way Perry’s no-class supporters bashed Sarah at RedState.com, on AOSHQ and right here on FR, I really can’t see her supporting Rick.
She’s a Reagan conservative, and Newt is the only one of the bunch who actually worked with Reagan on legislation and ideas. So if she endorses, Newt would be the logical one.
Don’t take it personally jack. Some people don’t read the whole thread and think she’s going to endorse somebody tonight. I’m just making sure they understand that’s not the case. K?
