MSNBC has a new addition to its staff Sen. John McCains daughter, Meghan McCain.
On his Wednesday program, MSNBC host Thomas Roberts introduced McCain and asked her to address her back-and-forth with presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Can you believe that? McCain asked. Former Speaker of the House Im getting in fights with, I cant believe it.
In a specific incident addressing some remarks McCain made about his presidential bid, Gingrich said, How would she have a clue?
I think hes delusional, McCain said. And him calling me clueless I think is so sexist and disgusting and lame and a really offhanded remark
that hes making towards me. And I think its ridiculous. Any polls that hes reading, if you were seriously running for president, you wouldnt be taking vacations to Greece during the middle of your campaign trail. I think he has a lot of other issues that all of us are very well aware of. And I would bet my career hes not going to be our next nominee.
Meghan,if for nothing else, it would be worth him getting the nomination just so you didn't have a "career"!
Megan probably did Newt a favor with her little temper tantrum. Being disliked by her is a pretty good recommendation.
Wait till Sarah Palin hears about this...LOL.
Megs is one of liberalism’s “smart people.” Which we now know (yet once again) are really evil and stupid people.
I bet daddy Mcbackstabber is really not happy about Newt showing up. Especially if he shows up with another contract on Rinoland.
Have you watched David Letterman lately? I was a fan until he bashed George W. continuously...calling him stupid...showing videos of him flubbing words (as if no one ever does it). I found it disgusting!
Once W. was out of office, I tuned in to Letterman again...just curious. Then it was an every night bashing of Sarah...afterall, she was a threat to Obama.
Now that she’s out of the picture, he has been bashing Herman Cain.
I have a feeling that the next victim will be Gingrich...Letterman is out to destroy anyone who is in the lead for the GOP.
You might call be nuts, but I think these late night comedians have an influence on public opinion...
And people are complaining about Chelsea Clinton getting a job with NBC.
Unlike Miss Piggy, Chelsea Clinton doesn’t appear to be a backstabbing bleached blonds bimbo, who looks like an overweight whore and talks and thinks like a valley girl.
Meghan McCain was hired by MSNBC for one reason: to sabotage the GOP in 2012.
Don't flatter yourself fatso. Him saying you are clueless after you say something clueless is hardly getting in a fight with you.
I can watch Leno — at least he seems to do equal-opportunity bashing. And after the monologue, the bashing is done. Unlike Letterman, who continues to bash during the entire show.
I did watch the clip of Perry on Letterman doing the Top 10. It was really sad. Sad seeing him have to go on Letterman!
And yes, of course those comedians influence public opinion. The average voter does ZERO research into candidates or issues. They vote based on advertising and name recognition. It's scary.
You don’t have to be sexist to know that Meghan McCain’s natural state is cluelessness. It was a fair assumption on Gingrich’s part.
Prove us wrong Meghan, surprise us.
Wow. Packin’ it on! Would Mr. Lincoln have hit it?
“Question, who if anybody does Newt take votes from?”
He’ll take them from whoever he can :)
I think he’s been executing a smart strategy so far. He knows that the conservative candidates with “tea party appeal” have to duke it out and destroy each other in order to have the support to take on Romney. He also knows that, in the process, they are likely to damage each other enough that none of them will be able to emerge unscathed. He’s been generally keeping out of that fight, looking good in the debates, and hoping that, at the end of the day, he is seen as the last hope to stop Romney.
Exactly. I hear all these pundits saying how it is “so obviously Romney’s” but it is so obviously not his. 75% of GOP voters don’t want him. And they go from Bachmann to Perry to Cain to Newt it only goes to show that they will NOT go to Romney.
Now it has been so long since a real GOP convention slugfest I am not sure I even know the rules. But the non-Romney vote will have to coagulate and after the first 5-10 primary states when a few of these folks drop out, we’ll see but I doubt many will endorse Romney. I don’t think Romney can win enough delegates and that means a brokered convention. In such a case it could be anyone - even Christie.
I really really wanted Cain to win, because I really really wanted this election to be about our tax code, about corruption in the tax code, about power, about us vs them, and so I hoped he could put it together. Unfortunately, other than the sex thing I fear Cain is failing to get good, solid answers out. He isn’t really doing a great job explaining 999! It’s too bad because for the first time in ages I was excited about a candidate (I was excited about his idea). Unfortunately he probably won’t hold the lead he held.
Newt showed real leadership and clear thinking in the last debate. I know Conservatives have serious issues and GOPers fear his long history (there are 10,000 sound bites to use against him) but there is no doubting that he is a leader of men and women, who knows Washington, and I think he could make a good candidate. I just wish he wasn’t such an insider - I wish he had used his time off to develop a set of policies to reform Washington. If he does win the nomination, perhaps he will pick up some reformist agenda to run in the general. Lord knows we need reform.
Meghan is heading towards Chaz Bono territory.
Its going to take a wooden stake in the heart to keep this one away from the cameras and microphones.
With out daddy she would be living in a cardboard box under some bridge.
Does anyone really care what she says or does?
