As all political junkies, we are all following what's going on in the Republican Party. Also the left's attempt to do what the Tea Party did in 2010, with the Occupied Wall Street hypocrisy.
I think Gingrich will win the nomination, and choose Cain as his VP.
If Gingrich wins the nomination (a long shot-I know), I can see him asking Romney to be his VP under the mistaken idea that he will bring along the “moderate” vote.
I would like to see Newt as Chief of Staff in the Cain administration
Or as Secretary of State.
Agreed but we still win.
I don’t think Gingrich is so much a “longshot” to get the nomination.And I think Gingrich is smart enough to know that
he can’t get enough primary votes without the very large and growing Tea Party constituency. I’m not sure Romney is smart enough to know that, because I think he’s in something of a bubble if he believes he’s a “Tea Party kinda guy” , as he’s indicated before. I’d have liked to seen
Gingrich and ROMNEY in the kind of ‘debate’ that occurred the other day between Gingrich and Cain. The fact that those two were together leaves one with the impression that they consider themselves the two REAL contenders, and that’s probably just what the event was crafted for.
It’s a full YEAR before the election, and it’s clear the real possiblities are still Romney, Gingrich, Cain and Perry,for the top position.I really wish the others would get out of the way, stop taking potshots at ‘the contenders”,and figure out for themselves who they can advise their own followers to vote for.Except for the hopeless Huntsman vote,I can’t see Romney being the beneficiary of any of the others’ voting blocs.
Gingrich, Cain, aand Perry are each going to have to find their own ways and seek the right ‘angles’ from which to expose Romney’s essential BigGov Liberalism and his unworthiness as the Republican nominee.
If they can’t do that they’re greatly lessening any chance they have to defeat him. And I’ve gotta say, so far Gingrich and Cain working together shape up to be the most
effective one-two punch duo out there . They’ve got to start exploiting their respective natural talents in subtle ways to build a following that CANNOT wind up moving toward Romney under any circumstances.
I predict a third party will win.
