Where is the outrage over Fast and Furious?(gunwalker)
The Daily Caller ^ | 21 October, 2011 | By Rep. David Schweikert

Posted on 10/22/2011 6:22:30 AM PDT by marktwain

It seems that for the magnitude of the Fast and Furious scandal, there isn’t much outrage.

Arizonans don’t need me to tell them that Fast and Furious is a big story. This scandal started in our backyard — in the ATF’s Phoenix office — and was administered by a U.S. attorney appointed by President Obama.

Every step of this operation seems riddled with incompetence and dishonesty.

High-ranking U.S. officials used taxpayer money — stimulus money no less — to buy guns and ship them to Mexico. The administration claims these firearms were shipped to Mexico in an attempt to destabilize Mexican drug cartels.

A further investigation will help us determine if, in fact, the administration’s real agenda was indeed promoting gun control.

Not only did this incompetence sink the operation, it strengthened the cartels and destabilized Mexican security forces on the border.

In other words, under this then-secret program, thousands of guns were shipped over our borders and placed directly into the hands of criminals. Sadly, these guns can be traced to over 200 murders, including that of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and high-ranking Mexican officials.

Some have tried to say that Fast and Furious is simply a case of an overreaching federal government dropping the ball or botching an operation — that it was planned to do something different, that weapons were lost and that officials miscommunicated or were ill-informed.

However, as more evidence has come to light, it has become clear that this operation was not botched. The administration fully intended for guns to end up in the hands of Mexican criminals.

As an Arizonan watching this unfold in my backyard, I can also assure you this is more than feds dropping the ball. People are dying. American tax dollars are arming criminals and it seems the administration is trying to cover it up.

This is egregious.

Almost as egregious, is the fact that the mainstream media has largely seemed to ignore this scandal. Where is the media’s understanding of the scale of this operation? Where is the outrage for not only the actions of President Obama and Eric Holder, but for their inconsistent stories? Where is the outrage for the use of American tax dollars for criminal activity? Where is the outrage for the more than 200 lives lost?

There is a growing voice in the House, mine one of the strongest among them, that believes we need a special prosecutor to hold Eric Holder and the Justice Department accountable. We must put the facts together and properly lay them out on a timeline.

Let’s face it. If it turns out that our attorney general misled the House Oversight Committee in May, the honorable thing for him to do is tender his resignation.

However, the honorable thing for President Obama to do right now is to stop playing politics and come clean on what his Justice Department knew and when they knew it. Incompetence and dishonesty that cost lives cannot and will not be tolerated.

The truth of this operation must come out just as fast and furiously as it was withheld from us.

The main duty of our government is to protect her citizens. However, here in my backyard, taxpayer-funded weapons have taken lives. I do not know what else needs to be said for America to start listening.

Congressman David Schweikert represents Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District.

Oh, there is plenty of outrage over this, Solyndra and several other scandals on the part of this Regime of Ubama’s. You just will not hear about it in that Media, because the Media is covering for their boy.

Gunwalker ping.

Nice to see Representative Schweikert making some noise on this issue. Contrary to what many have said, a lot of Republicans have made excellent speeches in the past on other issues. I have often seen posts asking “Why are the Republicans silent on this issue or that issue?”

The fact is they were not silent. They were silenced by the MSM simply refusing to print, publish or air their words. The MSM is the enemy. They are dying. The question is: will it be fast enough to save the Republic?

The media is in their back pockets; therefore, no outrage allowed.

Besides, they would have to be outraged at themselves for pushing such incompetence upon the American people and trying to sustain it. We all know commies, socialists and Maoist DO NOT admit any fault under any circumstances.

Since they are not regulars here on FR, I will respond to this question for the NYT, LAT, WP, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSLSD (MSNBC), Time, Newsweak (Newsweek) and U.S. News and World Report:

What is Fast and Furious? Never heard of it.

The timing is just incredible. If the Republicans take all branches in 2012, Holder and gang face prison in 2013, and they KNOW it.

Cornered ‘Rats are very dangerous. Their only “salvation” will be to attempt to wreck the economy so profoundly that riots and looting ensue on a massive scale, justifying some form of emergency rule or martial law. Nothing else will save them from prison.

The Obama/Holder/Hillary/Mueller gang has 14 months left to kill the lights and overturn the poker table. 14 months. They could do ANYTHING.

Here is what CBS Reporter Sharyl Attkisson claims was yelled at her by a DOJ and White House Officials:

“They will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable,” she told Ingraham. “They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.”

In other words, why can't you be like the others and cover this up?

This is the most damning statement about our MSM yet.

I’ve been wondering where the American people’s outrage was since the Clinton Administration. This apathy is a fundamental part of the decadence that is overwhelming Western Civilization. Apparently millions of people are so apathetic that they don’t care what happens to their children.

NO ONE will ever admit to this...it will NEVER be proven. That this is the ONLY logical conclusion is undeniable. But it isn't "proof".

Just as with the Warren Commission, the Whitewater Hearings, Chinagate, the investigations into Ruby Ridge and Waco, the 9/11 c0mmission, Sandy Burglar the vetting of Zer0 etc., this will remain another ignored, dangling "loose end" of which our government (both R & D) is so fond.

In 1993, the BATFE raided the Branch Davidian compound, setting it on fire, resulting in the murder of 82 citizens.

The purpose? To elicit calls for more gun control.

In 2009, the BATFE sent thousands of firearms into the hands of drug cartels, resulting in the murder of over 200 citizens (Mexican and US).

The purpose? To elicit calls for more gun control.

There are two people in senior positions who are common to both events.........

I disagree. This will ALL come out. The 16 subpoenad perps are all in deep distress, knowing they can’t erase all of the guilty emails. If they try, the others will dime them out.

One huge smoking gun will be the FBI’s participation, in subverting the national instant background check to allow felons to buy weapons under F&F. That had to be approved by Mueller, period. Mueller has sold the FBI’s remaining honor down the river. If he doesn’t go full John Dean, he will be sharing a prison cell with Holder if the Republicans win in 2013.

I was at a small retail shop this morning wearing my, “Am I the Only Person on the Planet that didn’t get Guns from the ATF?” shirt.

The girl who waited on my asked about it. I explained it to her, and said she’d probably heard about the “iron river of guns from the US to MX”..she had, but when I told her that the US Government was the one giving weapons to the Cartels, I could see she thought I was nuts.

I'm also stunned by how little outrage there is with the average guy regarding what has happened to this country.

I'm reading Reckless Endangerment: How Outsized Ambition.. and while the broad themes of it I already understood, the depth and breadth of the corruption that underlay it is truly sickening.

The "ruling class" has no fear whatsoever about the criminal and immoral behavior they've been engaged in. They can't be touched. On the other hand, you and I suffer anxiety if we fail to put on our seat belts.
