Moammar Gadhafis death is not enough for Donald Trump, who says the United States did not get enough for the kill.
On his YouTube page on Thursday, the one-time prospective Republican presidential candidate said, So the reports are that we caught Gadhafi. Big deal. What do we get out of it? They have the oil. The rebels would have given us everything if we had some leader that knew how to negotiate. The rebels were being routed four months ago absolutely routed by Gadhafi and his men.
Trump went on to lament the outcome as a missed opportunity and doubted that the so-called Libyan rebels would give the United States any of the oil for our assistance in unseating the long-time Libyan dictator.
If we would have said, We want 50 percent of the oil, they would have said, Absolutely, you have a deal. Help us, help us. Please, you have a deal, Trump said. What do we get? We get nothing.
Trump went on to suggest that if President Barack Obama had backed the Iranian protesters in 2009 the same way he has backed the Occupy Wall Street movement, Iran would be in different hands now.
Instead, he abandoned those people and you know what the result is, Trump said. Iran has only gotten stronger. The man doesnt know what hes doing.

Trump has it right.
That's one way of looking at it. Another way is to say he does know what he's doing.
I actually do agree with him on a lot of this, but so what? Trump likes to throw his 2-cents around after the dust has settled like the Monday morning quarterback that he is, but he talks like a clown or says nothing while things are happening.
I agree with his view on Zero, but that’s not news. Even the DemonRats know that a cocker spaniel would make a better president.
Yes he does. But what do we do about it??
Tell it, Trump...
France gets the oil and we get another muslim brotherhood ruled nation.
Trump is right...
and he is also wrong...
We didn’t get anything out of the deal to help the rebels...
but...
who are the rebels, and why should they be trusted to honor any part of the bargain for our side once the hostilities were over?
Trust is a good thing, but, we don’t have any real friends on either side of that conflict in Libya.
We don’t get anything but Nobama gets a re-election platform which his minions have already been promoting all night on CNN. Sen. Robert Menendez actually saying “This President has an incredible record.....has done what past Presidents could not do”.....My God, by tomorrow they’ll be comparing him to Patton.
New Government Hell No we not
Gadhafi is dead and that’s not in and of itself a bad thing. We can’t say it’s a good thing until we see what takes his place. With this president I think the new boss will be as bad or worse than the old boss.
Yep just like the libs were cheering the ousting of Batista in Cuba and we all know how that ended
Those arsenals were open for MONTHS --crates of them just lying around for free.
And Hillary's State Department KNEW and she did NOTHING --which is why she beat feet over there so prominently. She's now trying to bribe them with cash we don't have, so our airliners don't get shot down cuz of Hillary's shoddy, amateurish laziness
100 MANPADS loose is hugely important, but TWENTY THOUSAND OF THEM...?!?!!?
Mark my words that is HUGELY significant.
She had the info and did NOTHING.
In 2006 we took Libya off the terrorist watch list and declared them to be "out of the terrorist business".
They are now officially back in business.
Obama is going after Israel, not oil.
Trump is wrong if he thinks even US “assistance” is going to change things in the bottom line.
They’re Moslems, and it will always be a brutal, vicious, nasty hellhole.
ditto.
Yeah, if he's a loyal patriotic American.
If he's an anti American, antisemitic Muslim ringer, ...well then he's doin' just fine.
