The Republican Establishment’s War on Rick Perry

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2793400/posts

“Cain and Romney are also buddies. Cain endorsed Romney last time around and Romney finds various ways to praise Cain, even going so far as telling a NH crowd the other day that they could feel comfortable voting for him OR Cain.

Cain is in a position to play kingmaker, throwing his support to Romney at a critical juncture and putting him over the top, especially if the lower level right-wingers (Bachmann, Santorum) continue to hang around and leech out some of Perry’s Tea Party support. “

How about you finally answer the questions instead of racing around looking for the new smear attack to spew at Cain?

Who got in the race last after it was clear Romney was not going to get any appreciable support from social conservatives?

Who did the GOP Establishment push into the race after it seem Tea Party heroine Bachmann was going to upset Romney’s ride to the nomination?

Who does the GOP Establishment see as their back up card if Romney fails?

Who has long standing intimate ties with the Liberal wing of the GOP Establishment?

The answer is Rick Perry.

Bill Kristol to a NY Time Reporter telling him how the GOP Establishment plans to deal with “the Tea party mutiny”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2792217/posts?page=3

Kristol told me just after Perry entered the race, a development that essentially ended [the more radical Michele] Bachmann’s brief ascent. Establishment Republicans may prefer Romney to Perry, but their assumption is that either man can be counted on to steer the party back toward the broad center next fall, effectively disarming the Tea Party mutiny.

Wonder who Perry will be VP with?

Odd how that question never gets asked of Perry.

Could it be because everyone knows Perry is the GOP Establishment mole in the race to split the Tea Party/Conservative vote and hand the nomination to Romney?

Could it be because they know the ticket the GOP Machine is setting up is “Romney/Perry 2012? Think about it. Romney has the money, Perry has the idolatrous worship from the social Conservatives.

Could that be why the Perry camp is knowingly lying about Cain’s solidly Conservative record on both social and fiscal issues? Because they know full well Perry’s record can not stand close scrutiny?

What does anyone really know about Perry other then the nice words and platitudes he puts in his speeches? Looks like Perry is just Bush 3.0 another tough talking social conservative who will go to DC and be yet another good little GOP crony capitalist water boy.

Coulter refrained endorsing Herman Cain for the top of the ticket, she noted, because "he has never held elected office before,"

That's one of the many reasons why Cain should be at the top of the ticket, Ann. And his VP choice should (and will) be a conservative, which of course excludes Romney.

Never being a politician is a plus the way I see it. Career politicians who want to be “bipartisan” and protect their phoney baloney jobs have brought us to our current mess, although I don’t see der Fuehrer as much of a politician. He moved quickly through two lower level offices by having them bought by the likes of Soros. Give me a break. BO was never in an elected office more than a few years and he did nothing. His only political quality is that he is a mesmerizing speaker (BS artist) like Hitler; and yes I do believe he is comparable to Hitler.

Maybe “Mitt” (Wilbur) is the new boyfriend that Hannity is teasing Ann about.

Ann could be Wife #2?

Two first ladies? Maybe more?
Mitt had multiple grandma's if it works that way.

Just wait for the LSM to go after Mitt.
The news media is salivating at this moment.

It is better to nominate a weak Republican who can be elected than a pure Republican who can not be elected.

Coulter was for the RINO Christie and when he pulled out it was only a matter of time before she climbed on the RINO Romney bandwagon.

Although talented in a a number of ways, I never cared for her because I consider her to be first and foremost a self-server. She's carried water in the Cold War with the Left, but she's a real lightweight in the deadly Hot War going on now when we need all hands.

One could never post criticisms of her on FR because it would trigger a spate of "you know the rule" sexy (not) photos posted ad infinitum by the heavy breathers here.

Don't see much of those any more...nor do we see her in the trenches helping the Tea Partiers and the conservative cause in these critical days for our country. She's become Establishment and irrelevant now.....more's the pity.

Her ga-ga support for Christie and now for Romney are eye-rolling lapses in judgement that demonstrate to me, at least, how removed she now is from the constitutional conservative cause and from we folks in fly-over country.

I agree with her, even our nuts and midgets are better than Obama.

But, thats not really much of a bumper sticker. “Romney! He’s not as bad as Obama!”

Romney isn’t my least favorite, but he’s definitely in my bottom three, so far down the list he’s even beneath Perry.

Cain is in my top three or four and steadily working toward the top of my short list.

The more I watch him the more I like him. Back him up with someone who knows the system and he’ll be fine. And we’ll be fine too.

Ann is afraid of going all the way, so she goes with Romney as a compromise. We don’t need a compromise when we have Cain.
