"Who won the latest Republican debate? Going into the debate, Mitt Romney was the frontrunner. After the debate, he remains the frontrunner. Of all the candidates, Romney appeared the most presidential. He is becoming increasingly skilled in debates. Other candidates attempted to challenge Romney on a number of occasions, but he used them as opportunities to promote his candidacy. In some ways, Herman Cain was in the center of the debate. The crowd enjoyed Cain, but he runs the risk of becoming a one-note candidate, known only for his "9-9-9" plan. As for Rick Perry, he was not harmed as he was in previous debates, but he was flat. He seemed afraid of hurting himself. Romney and Cain were comfortable.
The Republican debate this evening had an unusual format. Rather than having each candidate at his own podium, as in all the previous debates, the candidates were seated at one big table. In the past, this format has been known to encourage the candidates to be a bit more civil. For some reason, candidates are less comfortable attacking each other when seated together...."

As unfair as it might seem... I have been thinking the same thing.
Romney came across way too slick - too much pre-packaging and too much time in the Fake Bake apparently.
This may come as a surprise to some, but Obama has taught some people a very valuable lesson that the person who says all the right things might be the worst choice for the job. Romney can deliver some coherent soundbytes, but who the hell cares?
Cain did well considering there was a nice size target on him. He needs to rein in some of the rhetoric and instead of just spouting 9-9-9, attack Romney on Healthcare and his socially liberal policies. Cain also needs a much stronger foreign policy message. This is where he’s going to sink or swim to the top. A revamped tax code is extremely appealing, but there are other serious issues... and calling Greenspan his favorite Fed Chairman was not a good choice. Better he should have said he didn’t like any of them, and here’s why...

Romney = Bob Dole
He’s been dealing with the Texas legislature, requiring photo id to vote so all these damned illegals can’t vote. He’s been in the race two months and had to start from zero on fundraising. Romney has had five years. Of course he’s got a multi-point plan. Cain is there with a “jobs” plan called NINE-NINE-NINE that is nothing more than a new tax aimed at the middle class. Even Bachmann could see that when she busted him on that right proper. It’s a new tax, not a jobs plan. Perry has had about three weeks, yet he’ll be rolling out his plan this week. Can’t wait.

I’m a realist. I was for Sarah but finally realized that she’d never get the nomination because she’d disturb the Corrupt Bastards Club. We all saw the lengths they’d go to to get her out.
So that leaves us with sort of a business as usual or business as unusual - i.e. the communists. Currently I pick Cain for business that expands and employs citizens. But I’ll vote Romney if I have to.
Anybody but the communist agitator who is behind the street “protests” and for re-distributing our tax dollars to his supporters.

Reducing the corporate tax rate from 35% to 9% is very much a jobs plan.
Spot on! Someone photoshop all the candidates saluting the soldiers coming off of Air Force One. We will decide who looks the most presidential.
And a national sales tax on new items only is a job killer.
That's mostly how I see it too.
As far as I'm concerned, Romney disqualified himself with Romneycare.
Anyone who does not believe in individual freedom has no business with an (R) after his name.
Romneycare is a classic example of fascism and I'll have no part of it. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, I don't care if it sounds like an elephant.
