Just listened to Perry get boo'd by Tea Partiers for his position on illegal immigration. Even Huntsman is beating him up on it. If Huntsman can legitimately smack you on anything, you are on the wrong side of the issue. After doing due diligence for myself, I just do not understand the continued hype for Perry. Doesn't make sense.

In my book, it's paid disruptors -- a bunch of rich Texans got together and made a $55 million campaign fund for Perry designed to hustle him through to victory in the first group of primaries before anyone has time to vet his background or notice his native stupidity.
They're doing this to counter the fact that he doesn't have a genuine ground game.
Fortunately, the bloom is off the Yellow-Livered Rose of Texas.
Cheers!

I just do not understand the continued hype for Perry. Doesn't make sense.IMO, the thinking is: "Perry seems like he can beat Obama, therefor vote for Perry."
That's how we wound up with Bush. Bush grew the Debt and the Federal Govt MASSIVELY.
The reasoning for McCain was "The media likes McCain, and will treat him fair, therefor vote for McCain." How'd that work out for us?
People aren't looking at Perry as a LEADER, they're just calculating who could maybe beat Obama.
Sarah said it right: the question is not just to replace Obama, (that's a given) but what to replace him with.

They hype is about job creation and who can lead us back to prosperity along the lines of Reagan. This election is not about Gardasil or in-state tuition for illegal. It is about JOBS. Perry has governed Texas for the last 10 years, and our state, under his leadership, has created 40% of ALL the new jobs in the United States in the past two years. Perry is the conservative to Romney’s RINO. He has never lost an election, and he will wipe the floor with Obama in 2012. That’s why the hype.
