No doubt the News Journal reporters are hammering away at their keyboards after Christine ODonnells appearance on Piers Morgans CNN show. ODonnell was on to promote her book and the interview started out fairly well. She was amiable and Piers was nice enough but throughout the interview, Morgan continued to turn the topics away from the subject matter of the book, which is a return to our founding principles and an embrace of fiscal responsibility, limited government and a breakup of the crony capitalist system. Now, CNNs website only shows the last few minutes of the exchange but for those of us who watched the show, Piers went on and on throughout the interview about witches, masturbation and gay marriage which were simply not the topics he brought her on to discuss. Heres the end of what was at least 15-18 mins of ODonnell tying to redirect Piers who was acting like a lovesick teenager fresh into puberty.

cool!
I know where Morgan’s Pier is but what the heck is a Piers Morgan?
Gotta be honest here - never been THAT impressed with Christine. I did give to her campaign in hopes she would take that seat, but she’s always been something of a lightweight. Her inability to handle this gracefully demonstrates that.
I thought she handled it quite gracefully.
Morgan, not so much.
The spin is strong with this one... (Just sayin).
I find Piers to be an insufferable prig. I promptly turn off any program he appears on.
She came across as vapid and duplicitous. She states that her purpose for being there was to discuss her book, she admits that in this book can be found her opinion on gay marriage, yet when asked about gay marriage she gets 'offended'.
And to think I sent this twit $$$
He most certainly did not send you to tell people what he did or did not send.
Well that's an understatement. I never understood such timidity with some FReepers being scared to tell the truth as you have. Idealogy isn't enough. We need serious candidates not bimbos.
Had she been elected we wouldn’t have had Obamacare.
Thank God we didn’t elect her! What a bimbo!
No she didn’t. If you think that was gracefully handled then you are just being an apologist for a conservative. Be realistic. She didn’t even cut the interview off gracefully. It was awkward and downright silly.
Here you have a woman whose 15 minutes of fame are all but up. She didn’t win her seat and she’s not consequential enough for her book to have any real meaning. Despite that, she’s given a stage to spout sound conservative principles. Rather than just answer the questions and quickly move the subject back onto topics she wants to discuss, she plays a stupid game.
You want people to listen? Give answers people want to hear.
Piers asked, “Do you support gay marriage?”
Why not just say, “No, I don’t.”
“So you’d restore don’t ask, don’t tell?”
“Yep. I’m not out to convert homosexuals or people who sympathize with their agenda - like yourself - right now. Honestly, they’re never likely to listen to a sound conservative opinion on fiscal responsibility anyway. I’m out to make folks who aren’t one issue voters aware of the things we can do to make this country fiscally sound... blah blah blah.”
Most politicians like Christine are cowards. They refuse to just say what they believe. And why? She might offend the 2-3% gays out there? Or the moonbats that sympathize wholeheartedly with their agenda?
Who cares. She blew it. Good luck getting another national platform on which to discuss sound conservative ideas, Christine. You may get one or two, but that’s about it.
That Britt Lefty needs to be back in the liberal hell hole, they created there and stay out of American Politics!!
OUTSTANDING.
Go Christine. Losing one’s temper with blatantly biased liberal dweebs, is a win-win situation.
We need more conservatives getting mad with liberal journalists.
Make their bias the issue. Set the agenda.
Yes she could have been a useful idiot on some votes but an idiot nonetheless. We deserve better than a conservative version of Jocelyn Elders.
Nor you my FRiend. But if I'm not mistaken I believe He sent his Son. My Christian faith is not a "religion of the book." Christianity is the religion of the "Word" of God, a word which is not a written and mute word, but the Word which is incarnate and living.
