yes, I have too, although the scientific results are pretty mixed. See a book by Gary Taubes called “Good Calories, Bad Calories.” He analyzes almost every study on weight, diet, and heart health in the last 50 years. It’s really an astounding book. Most of the studies show that exercise without diet control leads to weight gain because it stimulates your appetite. But the science is really tough, and Taubes makes great sense of it. He has a smaller, more accessible book called “Why We Get Fat (and What to Do About It)” but it doesn’t have the analysis of scientific studies that GCBC has.
What the hurl is BOHICA??
Methinks it stands for "Bend Over, Here It Comes Again".
Rather a useful acronym when commenting on many posts here, I suppose.

I agree on most points -- except that, in light of Teh One's comments today (as reported on Limbaugh) that he's done less than half of what he set out to accomplish; in conjunction with the strident warnings going out over the Dem-to-MSM memo PR system that "the Tea Party is terrorists" and the push to work with local law enforcement to identify "radicals"; and in conjunction with Obama's meeting with Trumka; I'm worried Obama might try to make Election Day his Krystalnacht: inspiring flash mobs of yutes to block conservative polling places and using the resulting unrest to declare the polls obviously "biased" so calling the elections into doubt, then rioting for continued power (think of his blood relative, cousin actually, Odinga, whom he visited during his time as an Illinois Senator).
Cheers!
I downloaded this on Kindle. Though I will never be even remotely convinced that exercise does not affect weight.
He says it benefits respiration, cardio, and so on, but studies show that you tend to eat more to compensate for the calories burned.
