It’s not a “miracle.” A miracle is inexplicable or improbable.

The outcome in Wisconsin was entirely predictable, and was fully expected by anyone who wasn’t a hysterical union demagogue fighting desperately to protect their power.

Calling it a “miracle,” instead of the natural and inevitable outcome of responsible governance, gives credence to those demagogues.

What will be interesting is when the job numbers come out for the second quarter, and ALL of the private sector jobs that were created were created in the land o’ cheese beer and sausage, watch the media shrivel up....They CAN’T report it!

Even Michigan is turning around. Slowly but still turning. Unemployment in my county is down 2% from a year ago.

Naturally the liberals are demanding to know why unemployment isn’t down to nothing after 6 months.

In addition to his basic beliefs and principles, Walker benefitted from his prior experience as Milwaukee County
Executive.
Then, given an opportunity to employ these personal attributes in the service of the whole state and its people, he made the most of them while also offering inadvertently a model and encouragement for other states. May he and my native state continue to prosper.

The neighboring state of Madiganistan will reinforce the Cheddar Curtain to keep these wild, right-wing, extreme (always hafta use THAT word), conservative (ie sensible and responsible) views the HELL OUT.

Currently working on the ground for Hopper in the 18th district. Basic facts, massive out of state union TV buy has overtaken Hopper, polls have him down by 3 points. Sad fact no GOP backing or outside money helping him. Unless we have a very strong last week this district will in fact swing to the Dem's.

Luther Olson (R)currently in a tie with the Dem, this is a very rural district we're hoping commonsense will prevail here. The GOP candidate over in LAX is underwater big time, I never get over to that part of the state so I don't know what the issue is.

Overall this is a very sad situation, Hopper is running a terrible campaign and conservative groups are putting no money in to help him in a tough union area (Oshkosh - Fond du Lac).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we need a massive wake-up call here! These guys are going to get crushed by union money for doing the right thing.

I thought you posted “Hey hey ho ho, who wants to talk about Wisconsin’s economic miracle that nobody’s talking about?”

That poster is despicable and epitomizes the left’s simplistic, emotional, demagogic beliefs. How do you govern a country when half the population thinks like this?

What were the results of the recall elections?

The recall elections for the six republicans are on Aug. 9.

OK, Call to all Freepers everywhere. Let’s get moving here. You SEE how stupid the national GOP is acting in DC. Wake up and call your local GOP office and see how YOU can help. My senator Glenn Grothman thank God did not get recalled.

HELP, HELP any way you can. Call your radio talk shows, write SOON, letters to the editors, go door to door, call the campaigns and ask how to help, tout this article above to everyone. Send it around via e-mail and ask everyone else to forward it. It’s a start. Don’t just sit there. DO SOMETHING before it’s too late.

Thank you for spreading the word. I emailed Charlie Sykes last Thursday and he spoke about the issues a little, but he thinks everything will be fine. Our only hope is spreading the word and driving up the interest, your help is truely appreciated.

The bulk of the recall elections are on August 9th; the TV will be FILLED with ads this week. It’s going to be ridiculous!

One ‘Rat retained, so far...We CANNOT lose 3 seats, or it flips to ‘Rat control in the House or the Assembly - I forget which.

I’m pretty sure it won’t. Taxpayers are REALLY p*ssed. :)

Diane....In Oshkosh we get Green Bay media, Hopper has been running his own ads, no outside groups helping him. His whole campaign has been hit and miss, he really hasn't come out and addressed his marriage situation, which I guess is a train wreck. This has allowed the dems to run a sub-campaign claiming he's not a family values guy, I'm not sure why that's a big deal considering his opponent.

All the media buys are backing Olson and the the Green Bay senator. Hopper is just now starting a more direct attack against King. It's hard to get much traction as they run an anti-Hopper ad, Hopper's ad and another anti-Hopper ad all in the same commercial break!

Regardless of what anybody says no one knows how these elections will turn out. Anyone who claims to knows is lying. That statement is coming from fairly high-up in the GOP, national org, not state....It will all come down to turnout. While I hate the dems, you have to tip your hat to them I never seen a GOTV effort this strong or organized.

Hopper has 2 things going for him:
1...Voters are really, really upset and will drag them self to the polls
2....College is out of session, less voter fraud.
