Palin: "The Sugar Daddy Has Run Out of Sugar; Now We Need New Leaders" (Blistering attack)

Barack Obama’s big government policies continue to fail. He should put a link to the national debt clock on his BlackBerry. The gears on that clock have nearly exploded during his administration. Yesterday’s terrible job numbers should not be a surprise because it all goes back to our debt. Our dangerously unsustainable debt is wiping out our jobs, crippling our economic growth, and jeopardizing our position in the global economy as the leader of the free world.

As a governor, I had to deal with facts, even unpleasant ones. I dealt with the world as it is, not as I wished it to be. The “elite” political class in this country with their heads in the sand had better face some unpleasant facts about the world as it is. They’ve run out of money and no amount of happy talk will change this reality.

...We won’t achieve long-term stability if we continue borrowing massive sums from foreign countries and remain dependent on foreign sources of oil and gas.”...It’s a matter of public record that I did not go to Harvard Law School, but I can add.

The same “experts” who got us into this mess are now telling us that the only way out of our debt crisis is to “increase revenue,” but not by creating more jobs and therefore a larger tax base; no, they want to “increase revenue” by raising taxes on job creators who are taxed enough already! As Margaret Thatcher said, “The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” That’s where we are now. Hard working taxpayers have been big government’s Sugar Daddy for far too long, and now we’re out of sugar. We don’t want big government, we can’t afford it, and we are unwilling to pay for it.

Sarah is absolutely right. I don’t know if she will be the Standard Bearer for the Republican Party, but she has the message that all Republicans need to repeat every day until Election Day.

Don't look now but Sarah already is the Standard Bearer for the Republican Party.

Palin and Cain., Palin and West if he can be persuaded, Cain and West if he can be persuaded, Bachmann could fit in with any of the mentioned.

remain dependent on foreign sources of oil and gas.”... I still don't understand this. Unless we intend to nationalize oil, the oil, whether it comes from US soil or elsewhere, will be privately owned by oil companies, and sold on the open market at market prices. I've yet to see an explanation of how we as a nation do anything about dependence on oil that is not owned by us. What difference does it make where it comes from? Do we get a better price from US companies, or do they get the market price like everyone else?

That is a very interesting point. But the operation of free markets is not the only issue.

I've always felt that it was to our advantage to buy oil/gas from external sources while conserving our natural resources. It's not about being green, it's about national defense. Ironically, I think the libs abhor drilling for the wrong reasons. But it's ok.

I love free markets (way more than most folks). However, what happens when we are dependent on our enemies for energy resources during war?

Personally, I think we need to tap internal resources to be prepared, not to alleviate bubbles created by our inept fed economic advisors, but for our national defense.

We should buy externally as long as we can.

Has anyone heard a similar theory anywhere? Links?

Sarah Palin is absolutely right. The best way to get this country moving again is to start becoming energy independant. Everything else will take care of itself. I’ve been waiting for someone to make energy independance the platform for 2012. What better person to lead this country on this issue. I cannot see Sarah not running. It’s seems like it’s building to a frenzy out there. I sure hope she does.

When one looks deeper at Bachmann one admires her faith and service to others and pro-life views.

But she is another lawyer/politician who played the game, one of many religiously conservative people recruited into the political system in the last 30 years and connected to the political bosses.

She has adapted her political speech to fit the times.

Sarah Palin is a religiously conservative person who is pro-life who came into the political system in Wasilla on the local council and at Alaska level as chairman of the oil and gas commission.

Both times she entered the system she identified how the political insiders did business and opposed it.

She is now acquainted with business as usual politics and at a national level.

She’s acted to break away from the mold of business as usual.

When it comes to the usual pattern of politics in this country, it is truly time to “GO ROGUE.”

Sarah Palin is a true breath of fresh air and the only candidate with a track record of actively standing against business as usual politics in the arena.
