Palin: "The Sugar Daddy Has Run Out of Sugar; Now We Need New Leaders" (Blistering attack)
facebook ^

Posted on 07/10/2011 11:21:19 AM PDT by quesney

Barack Obama’s big government policies continue to fail. He should put a link to the national debt clock on his BlackBerry. The gears on that clock have nearly exploded during his administration. Yesterday’s terrible job numbers should not be a surprise because it all goes back to our debt. Our dangerously unsustainable debt is wiping out our jobs, crippling our economic growth, and jeopardizing our position in the global economy as the leader of the free world.

As a governor, I had to deal with facts, even unpleasant ones. I dealt with the world as it is, not as I wished it to be. The “elite” political class in this country with their heads in the sand had better face some unpleasant facts about the world as it is. They’ve run out of money and no amount of happy talk will change this reality.

...We won’t achieve long-term stability if we continue borrowing massive sums from foreign countries and remain dependent on foreign sources of oil and gas.”...It’s a matter of public record that I did not go to Harvard Law School, but I can add.

The same “experts” who got us into this mess are now telling us that the only way out of our debt crisis is to “increase revenue,” but not by creating more jobs and therefore a larger tax base; no, they want to “increase revenue” by raising taxes on job creators who are taxed enough already! As Margaret Thatcher said, “The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” That’s where we are now. Hard working taxpayers have been big government’s Sugar Daddy for far too long, and now we’re out of sugar. We don’t want big government, we can’t afford it, and we are unwilling to pay for it.

Money quote: "We need real leaders who will put aside their own political self-interest to do what is right for the nation. And if they don’t emerge… well, America has a do-over in November 2012."

With all due respect, Governor Palin, they have not emerged. They will not emerge.

You must run.

"We need real leaders who will put aside their own political self-interest to do what is right for the nation"

And that is you, SARAH! They wanted to destroy you as governor and you side stepped them aside against 'conventional political wisdom'. You did what is right for Alaska and for our nation - and they didn't destroy you.

RUN SARAH! Game on - Patriot vs. Destroyers!

Please, Palin, run. We need the voice of sanity in the primary debates. Hopefully Perry will join. Between the both of you the primary will very adequately point out how this communists black Muslim and his communists Administration has in part destroyed America. If you two make it as Perry/Palin or Palin/Perry we might have a chance to remove the current dictator and exile him from US soil.

[ With all due respect, Governor Palin, they have not emerged. They will not emerge. ]

And run against Bachmann who she supports?.. Why?..
Bachmann / Caine the dream team..

Palin could be attorney general.. or even Svengali Czar..
Bachmann would make a good President..

The best about Plain IS.... she doesn’t NEED to be President..
Shes perfectly happy being who she is and doing what she does..

I disagree that Bachmann will make a good president. I just don’t feel it. Call it a deep gut reaction or whatever, it just doesn’t settle right with me.

One can’t get to the White House from the House of Representatives...it doesn’t happen. Bachmann needs another office first.

The exact reason she will be the best president - she's doing it from the heart - not an ego.

She is a BORN LEADER. It's ALL about America, not her.

Amen to what Sarah said. We need conservatives running the whole show, no Democrats and no progressive Republicans.

Me neither. I think she’s better than most politicians/lawyers, but she’s a politician/lawyer.

Haven’t we had enough of that?

We need to move on and pick real Americans outside of the DC elites — they lack what the US needs right now. We can’t have anyone with even a hint of RINO in them.

Anyone willing to compromise with liberals in any way on budget issues will be an enabler in America’s economic suicide.

We need a Margaret Thatcher who will not back down under any circumstances on anything that matters. We have no margin for RINO errors and weakness anymore.

Sarah is absolutely right. I don’t know if she will be the Standard Bearer for the Republican Party, but she has the message that all Republicans need to repeat every day until Election Day.

Sarah may run, she may not.
However, you can bet she will be working hard to elect another large group of Tea-Party minded candidates to oust the RINO’s and RAT moderates. That u can count on!

I think Bachmann should pull out since she can't win. She would be far more effective as a cheerleader than a candidate. (sarc)

Just an example of how idiotic the idea truly sounds.

In the world in which we live, should Palin announce she isn't running, the media would likely use her decision against her, saying she wasn't serious and her actions prove she shouldn't be taken seriously. Given that the current candidates are scared to death of the media, they would likely stay clear of the Governor. The way the Governor has the biggest impact on the nomination process is as a candidate regardless of winning or losing (though I'm definitely of the mind that she can win).

If you read Palin’s post, she makes quite clear that a candidate having “executive experience’ is a must, something Bachmann cannot claim.

guys she is running. She has absolutely no reason to declare until the very last minute. NONE. Why should she give up all the free press she gets? Thinking about millions in campaign adds in the media. She is playing this out brilliantly.

Those that dont like Palin, ask yourself this question. “when was the last time you saw a politician use Prudence and discernment in anything they did, especially when it came to promoting themselves? “ Those are 2 characteristics you do not see in any pol.

Palin’s call for a candidate with strong executive experience sounds like a call for Perry. Her time as governor pales before his and I think she recognizes this. It’s why she can’t back Bachmann. No executive experience.I think she’s coming out for Perry.
