Following the Sarah Palin playbook of never admitting error, the ex-governors minions are busy flooding the Internet with proof that Palin did not misspeak when suggesting that Paul Revere warned the British that they would not be taking arms from the colonists during his ride where he, apparently, rung bells and fired muskets.
The effort to back up Palin is based on taking bits and pieces of facts surrounding the historic event that, when cut and pasted together, work to make Palin look a little less befuddled than her actual statement would indicate.
While I give them credit for the effort, Im afraid that to any rational person it is a lost cause.
Lets set the historic record straight.

This article is so full of it that I’m surprised it’s not written in a brown font.
So the facts don’t matter when it comes to the governor?
Good to know.
Right on. :)
Though I haven’t heard anyone apologizing. Just enthusiasm.
“The effort to back up Palin is based on taking bits and pieces of facts surrounding the historic event that, when cut and pasted together, work to make Palin look a little less befuddled than her actual statement would indicate.”
Yes. Paultards/Truthers do much the same. I actually have far less of a problem with either candidate than I do with their over-zealous supporters.
;-)
When Sarah Palin said that Paul Revere did what he did when the Brits finally caught him, Sarah was correct, too HERE
This recent journalistic false gotcha moment is another one of those Tina Fey moments where Tina Fey says that she can see Russia from her house and Sarah Palin is the idiot for something she didn't say, but Tina said, parodying her.
Is this the apotheosis of the Liberal urban myth? Is our culture that rotten? What other liberal urban myths are we going to tout and celebrate? Are we going to warn men not to beat their wives during superbowl Sunday? And are we going to nominate for an emmy that trashy CBS documentary, "Hunger in America," when it showed a baby dying of prematurity and CBS falsely said it was dying of hunger (this last example is for the olTdsters in this crowd)?
So this history expert refers to Warren and Prescott as "two others". Obviously, this dickweed doesn't know what he's talking about either. I knew about Warren and Prescott when I was a kid.
Is this the same Rick Ungar who produced the famous animated SF series for TV, Biker Mice from Mars?

Maybe he should stick to subjects he knows something about.
Un~xxxxing-believable.
When you are all distressed over something someone might have said you must first tell us exactly what they said. Else our eyes rolll back in our heads, our lids get heavy, and we yawn~~!!!!
My response is; So what? It’s not like she thinks there are 57 states or something.
By the way, I never heard of Biker Mice from Mars until I looked up Rick Ungar. And it seems that he wrote the Wikipedia article, or one of his stooges, because they are begging someone to come along and vet it.
I haven’t seen or read any of this biker stuff, but evidently the three mice are left wing environmentalists, and they spend their time fighting evil alien capitalist resource destroyers, with the help of a feminist.
No matter what you do....
Ron Paul remains a kook.
Was she talking to a corpseman?
From the manuscript collection, Accounts of his famous ride to description and overview
"I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from, & what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he as- ked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.
He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above."
Rick Ungar gets this week's Kevin Drum Award*, for outstanding service to his master Obama. Ungar arrives on the scene to savage Sarah Palin for his boy Barry, fresh off his weekly grind of getting a paycheck for giving Obama the old oral-anal in print:

"But the reason I voted for Obama in 2008 is because I trust his judgment. And not in any merely abstract way, either: I mean that if he and I were in a room and disagreed about some issue on which I had any doubt at all, I'd literally trust his judgment over my own. I think he's smarter than me, better informed, better able to understand the consequences of his actions, and more farsighted. I voted for him because I trust his judgment, and I still do. "
kiryandil sez: You can just HEAR Drum's tongue swirling with relish around Obama's befouled nether regions. As the blackballed-by-his-own-side Lefty writer Ted Rall has told us, most of the media worships Obama like Kevin Drum worships him.
The Sycophant Drooling is strong with this one.
Sounds like a cross between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Captain Planet.
In other words, just plain wrong.
