Oh, DUDE!
This one is damn near scary!
Tell me this is satire . . .
Crazy old bast*rd shouldn’t be anywhere near a gun himself.
Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a statement
"The investigation that lead to the service of the search warrants on May 5 is a complicated one involving multiple people suspected of very serious crimes. Sometimes, law enforcement agencies must choose between the desire of the public to quickly know details, and the very real threat to innocent lives if those details are released prematurely. Sheriff Dupnik has made it a departmental policy to be open and forthcoming with information released to the news media. When the decision is made to withhold information, as it has been in this case, there is a legitimate reason for that decision. The day the search warrant was served, we reported to the media that Mr. Guarena fired at SWAT officers. This is what was understood at that time. After a more detailed investigation, we learned that he pointed his assault rifle at SWAT officers, however, the safety was on and he could not fire. This is a clear example of erroneous information being provided without careful investigation. Rather than risking the release of further information, it is imperative that we complete all aspects of this investigation. Complicating matters is the fact that multiple agencies were involved in this incident..."
Blah, blah, blah... In other words we don't have any friggin' idea what we are doing and so we will stall as long as possible and hope people forget about this major screw up that led to the death on an innocent man.
Too early for jokes.
Look, a Marine with a weapon represented a severe danger to my men, Dupnik said. If they hadnt fired first he probably wouldve killed them all. It was only quick thinking that saved the day.
Heh heh, you gotta admit, this is probably closer to truth than fiction John.
Well done John, but what a tough one to satarize. SHEESH!
‘semi-news/semi-satire’...
How much of this is satire? What was the swat team there for originally?
As Dr. Evil would say, ‘I need the info.’
Excellent.
He was aiming a gun at law enforcement? That’s a dangerous thing to do... and I’ll bet the officers were yelling out who they were. This does NOT make the case against gun ownership.
As it stands right now, it is my belief that Jose Guereña was murdered by that SWAT team.
You really got everyone going on this one John. No one ruining it for everyone else within the first few posts :)
Excellent, John. Glad you covered this travesty.
The more that comes out on this story, the more it appears there is something deeper going on.
IMHO, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sheriff’s Dept isn’t involved in highly criminal activity, Guerena and his family became aware or were in a compromising position, and theyd been targeted to be removed from the equation.
Between the home invasion of relatives and the convenient 3rd party SWAT raid, where those directly responsible are removed from direct responsibility, and those who directed the raid are conveniently senior to any investigation, it strongly appears that corruption similar to criminal activities South of the Border, are now meandering into the border states.
The first indications of such corruption are likely to be by those who are military with devotion to the Constitution, becoming exposed to local corruption, and searching for veritable authority to remove those who are corrupt.
Unfortunately, the corruption may have spread like a contagion so deeply into our society that no trustworthy authority remains.
*snort* Sounds WAY too much like something Sheriff Dipstick would say!
Sunday AM bttt....
