Please forgive me if doing this incorrectly. This is my very first "thread" to Free Republic. I know very well the power of prayer so I come to my fellow Freepers to join in.
My four year old son has a slew of vision problems and has already had 2 eye surgeries ( on his left eye ) to remove a cataract at 6 months old, an MRI on his brain a few weeks after that and then at 3 years and one week old, he had another surgery to remove scar tissue in his lens capsule and to implant an intraocular lens.
A couple of weeks ago he had another eye movement recording to see where they should move some of his eye muscles to help correct his "null" point ( or focal point ) and to correct his head turn.
The report from the EMR was not written and given to his regular surgeon but he said, at our appointment yesterday at Childrens Hopsital that he's ready at any time to do this surgery but may recommend me to the worlds best pediatric ophthalmology surgeon for either just a second opinion or to do the surgery. No big deal if he does because it's only a 2 hour drive one way...
I know this got long but wanted to give some back ground but I'd surely appreciate any prayers you could send up for my child and his surgeon.
Thank you all in advance ~
(If this is in the wrong "spot" could someone let me know how to move it to a different location and which location )
that should be “ SupporT”
Prayers for God’s blessings on all.
Prayer bump
Many years ago my son had eye muscle surgery twice. With medical advances I’m sure your son will do fine. Will keep him and you in my prayers.
I will keep him in my prayers. I also post on my FB for prayers. God’s blessings and healing for your little boy.
May he see the light of the sun as you see the light of God.

Please keep us all posted on his recovery, which I am sure will be positive.
You sure have been through a lot. Prayers for successful treatment for your son.
Memorare ...
Absolutely I have heard of Dr. Hertle of the ‘Hertle’ procedure! My doc does the ‘Hertle’ but always offers the opportunity to see Dr.Hertle...who is now in Akron.
My doc did his ped/ophth fellowship with Marshall Parks in D.C. and does a lot of mission work all over the world. He is a gifted surgeon and a devout Christian.
Cheers, prayers and the best to your son!
Prayers are up.
Prayers for the doctors and surgeons and your family.
Luke 7:1-9
Prayers up!
Prayers for you and your son.
Prayers sent for your child and for you and your wife. So hard to watch your little one go through all of this.
Some of you have asked for an update here and through private replies, so I am doing as requested.
First let me apologise for being tardy but I recently bought a new computer and it’s been in for repair twice in as many months. I just hooked it back up this evening ....
Along with his surgeon, we’ve decided to go to another doctor who’s known as the worlds best pediatric ophthalmologist, Dr. Hertle; for a second opinion and evaluation.
Our appointment is at the end of July.
He broke his glasses today. In fact, he mangled them with his little plastic tools ( I guess he wanted to be like his dad LOL and “work on stuff” ) but luckily my husband fixed them. I was just a little upset when he brought them to me and said “ Momma, need a new pair “ ....but not a whole lot because he’ll go in August for another exam for a new prescription.
Prayers sent.
Prayers offered up to Our Great Physician.
