Tepublican Governor Jan Brewer vetoed legislation that would have opened Arizonato interstate competition in the provision of health insurance. This legislation would have exposed Arizonans to a plethora of choices that most are unqualified to assess, Brewer argued. Decisions about what coverage to buy and what price to pay would have been left to ill-prepared individuals. Rather than a knee-jerk response in favor of freedom I determined that it is best that such decisions be handled by experts in the Department of Insurance.

In Arizona it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for cronies. I guess it’s that way in every state we’ve lived in. I do have to agree with her that most of the people in AZ are too stupid to figure out what a good insurance plan is.
