Donald Trump says he won't announce until June whether he'll throw his hat into the race as a Republican presidential hopeful, but an upcoming appearance in Washington could be calculated to hint that he's going for it.
Trump will attend the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner on April 30 as a guest of the Washington Post, specifically, his assistant adds, of Lally Weymouth, scion of the Post's controlling Graham family.
His attendance is notable as the event gives Trump an intimate opportunity to schmooze with the thousands of members of the media and other Washington elites who flock to the event known as Washington's Prom. To date, no other high-profile potential Republican presidential contenders will be at the dinner, making it certain that The Donald will undoubtedly be buzzed-about while dining in the same room as President Obama...

LOL!!!
“His attendance is notable as the event gives Trump an intimate opportunity to schmooze with the thousands of members of the media and other Washington elites...”
As if he doesn’t already know them...
LOL
Brother Trump’s travellin hope and salvation show.
Trump is the only candidate out there who has not received any political contributions from special interests. And he is not a professional politician. I count those as pluses.
My suspicion?
Trump is the ROSS PEROT of 2012!
Connecting a few dots...
o Supported Mister Obama in 2008
o Voted for Mister Obama in 2008
o Chooses to dis Dubya at every opportunity
o Has a history of self-glorification and poor financial choices
o Importantly, he runs wayyyy to the right of all the potential GOPers,(meaning he takes no votes from his buddy, Obama) and uses what many (including Coulter and IIRC Hewitt consider a non-issue) to get max ink; and
o Most importantly, is ALREADY talking about an indy run.
Mister Obama's minders know that it was Perot who gave the presidency to Clinton, and they know that a Perot-wannabe would have the same effect.
I respect the opinion of those who differ, but please give it some thought. If he's a poser, and succeeds at a 3rd party, we (and our Country) are toast.
.
This is my idea of entertainment.
If he’s a poser, and succeeds at a 3rd party, we (and our Country) are toast.
The country is probability toast anyway.
.
Here’s my take, Seaplaner.
There are an enormous number of people who’ve changed their minds politically in the past year, and some who’ve realized that what they used to think was important, in light of the threat to our sovereignty by Obama/Soros, have done a 180 in their lives and beliefs.
Trump makes a living off of the discretionary spending of the general public. Make no bones about it; he cannot support his business empire just by catering to the rich. Trump needs the middle-class to patronize casinos and spend money. If the middle-class is squeezed, Trump’s businesses go bust.
Donald Trump has supported both Dem and Rep political party’s candidates in the past. Democrats dominate the politics in New York and New Jersey, so it’s no surprise that the Dem party received the most money from The Donald. That’s business.
Now it is a matter of his survival. I suspect he has taken stock of who he is and what he values. Donald Trump is no socialist and income redistribution ain’t one of his values.
Being a good Reagan Republican, I will trust but verify. Keeping an eye on Donald and agreeing with much of what he says doesn’t equal my vote for him as President - yet. Looking around at the other probable candidates, however, isn’t encouraging for this conservative and I’m keeping my options open.
I know who won’t be needing a Teleprompter...
Bring the LFBC!!!
