Trump/Palin 2012. I know it's a longshot, but it's still a pretty enticing picture for conservatives. Well, at least for this conservative. And people are starting to talk about it... even here in NYC. Trump's set a fire on Obama's eligibility that seems to be licking at the seeming invincibility of Obama in a year where many have been concerned that there is no "star" in the GOP. So what's the upside for a Trump/Palin ticket in 2012?
Here are a few thoughts:
1. I've been a big fan of Sarah Palin ever since she stepped into the national spotlight. I've never seen a politician have to deal with the kind of routine character assassination and ridiculously slanted coverage that she's had to. Despite the class and strength she's shown through it all, the sad fact is that she's become the #1 butt of jokes made by the proudly ignorant people who get their news from the likes of Jon Stewart and Bill Maher. My vote is hers to lose in 2102. should she choose to run, but let's be realistic- it's an uphill climb with such an (inaccurately) negative perception of her in the American psyche.
2. Trump, on the other hand, has been a media darling for about two decades. I've never really had much of a sense as to WHO he really is, aside from the media message that he's a great manager, visionary business leader, and resilient risk-taker. I've had no idea where he stands on social issues, and, despite his candid way of speaking, I've always had a sense that he was somewhere to the left of me politically. Maybe a good deal to the left. He's fearless and honest, but, let's face it - it's an uphill climb for a guy on his third...

Dream Ticket? Hope not... There is much better.
great, let’s hear yours....
Trump/Hillary! is a more likely ticket.
Dream ticket for whom?
Palin will not run for VP again. Only incumbent VPs do that.
No, seriously, I’m not even sure I’d want him on the bottom half of the ticket.
hey, before you get clobbered I’ll say “I’d be proud to vote for that New York-Alaska, Male-Female, Dad-Mom, Wall St.-Main St., Dealmaker-Babymaker, Big shot-Rifle shot combination of charismatic conservatives”!
Heh...how about let’s hear yours? There are some great actual Republicans out there that want to save the country - who would you pick?
Now don’t pick anyone that speaks out of both sides of their mouth...we want real Conservatives...
I do have my preferences, but think that they would have a hard time winning national votes...

Considering how liberal Trump is on most issues, it would be McCain/Palin all over again.
America needs Palin as president. All Chump knows how to do is administer multiple bankruptcies.
;-\
I have a feeling this whole Trump thing is a rope-a-dope to position Hilldog and sink our side.
Or a Tweedledum vs Tweedledee match up.
Trump vs Hillary, a choice between hanging and firing squad.
He's not really running.
He wants to take Barry down.
Dream ticket for the Democrats.
It wouldn’t be versus. Trump has a long history of supporting the Clintoon clan.
Hillary/Trump is more likely.......
Then he has experience suitable for dealing with the post Obama US economy...
