WORLD EDITOR DISPLAYS HIS IGNORANCE OF CHRISTIANITY -
According to Time Magazine editor Bobby Ghosh, burning the Koran is much more inflammatory than burning a Bible because the Koran comes directly from God and the Bible doesnt.
Appearing on MSNBCs Hardball, (where else?) Ghosh continued to display his ignorance of Christianity:
The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. Its the story of Jesus.
If youre a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, it is directly the word of God. (Transcribed by whom, Mr. Ghosh?)
That makes it sacred in a way thats hard to understand if youre not Muslim. So the act of burning a Koran is much more potentially much, much more inflammatory than if you were to burn a Bible. You are directly attacking God.
So did the Rat miss something as a young lad in Sunday School? He was led to believe that the Bible was the Word of God. Come to think of it, hes still being led to believe that the Bible is the Word of God.
Is Times world editor that ignorant of Christianity, or is he something worse? Many of the left-wing loons who preach tolerance and understanding of all things Islam arent quite so tolerant and understanding of anything Christian. Public schools are prohibited from allowing silent prayer, while many of them offer Muslim courses to promote acceptance and amity of Islam.
Does this means that Ghosh believes the savage murder of innocent people in response to the burning of a Koran is a normal reaction by Muslims? I hope not. Does he believe that the superiority of the Koran in respect to the Word of God, might just give Muslims a tad bit more justification in their brutal acts of retribution than would be the case for Christians? It sure sounds like it.
While pastor Terry Jones certainly has the right to burn whatever he wishes to burn including the Bible, and the American flag for that matter hes guilty of confusing the right to give followers of the peaceful religion an excuse to murder innocents with the RESPONSIBILITY not to do so. Terry Jones has blood on his hands as well.
The Rat wonders how Pakistan could condemn the intolerance of the pastor on one hand while sentencing a Christian woman to death on the other. Rat will have to look that up in the Koran.
Come on, Ann, tell us how you really feel!

Very nice rant!
(it’s not fair her taking on a girly-man like Lindsey. If she has an 8 year old daughter that might be a more even match for Lindsey)

Yep.
Let's see.... You're on a staunchly conservative American forum, which means it is highly slanted in favor of belief in God (the God of the Christians and Jews, in particular), see the home-page banner. It is populated by a lot of people who feel strongly about their religious beliefs. In fact, they consider it a matter not only of Life and Death, but of Eternal Life or Death.
And the reaction to your atheism is.... pretty darn mild. A few might want to tell you about their beliefs, a few might encourage you to accept Christ as your personal Savior, a few might warn you of the peril you face, from their point of view. That's pretty much the reaction you would get on any street in America. Highly unlikely anybody would even get in your face about it (although there are a few nuts in every bunch), and you could depend on the law to support you if it came to that.
By comparison, in most Muslim-dominated countries, you could expect to be hounded, chased, beaten, lashed, and probably killed for your lack of belief in Islam. And not by a few isolated nuts -- no, it would be by the majority of people, and they would have the support of the law.
Yeah, your health would suffer elsewhere, and that's putting it mildly.
Its awful close.
Terry Jones has no blood at all on his hands. The citizens of his country need to be awakened to their danger. Vipers are vipers, and always have a reason to kill.
The author of this piece can take his Neville Chamberlain mentality over to the Democrap side.
THANK YOU for posting! God bless this hero.
In reality he's a hero. The only one willing to carry out an act among millions who would like to do it.
I can hardly express the anger and turmoil that this issue induces in me. Today I tuned into Roe Conn on WLS AM in Chicago, and heard him say that this "Koran burning" had caused "lots of protest" in Afaghanistan. He hesitated and chose his words. Are we that far under the yoke?
For the record, on reflection I think he said "a ton of protest".
That is absolutely fantastic! I agree with every single word 100%. Too bad ratings and comments are disabled. I would love to express my unqualified support for what Ann Barnhardt has said there and the way she said it.
Ignorance on display, in all its 'might'...
There are only a couple of things written by the Finger of God:
The Ten Commandments - the two tables of Stone (Exodus 20).
And when Jesus wrote on the ground when the woman caught in adultery was brought before HIM (John 8).
The Bibles written today are printed by men (and their printing presses), as is the koran.
The Bible is the Word of God: 2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
That is, the Scriptures were given by the Holy Ghost who spoke through the prophets of old.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
The Apostles also delivered the Word of God.
And as "The Truth Will Make You Free" noted in Post 35:
2 Timothy 3:16a All scripture is given by inspiration of God...
The koran, on the other hand, is the inspired word of satan. It contains no self affirming prophecies that came true. And it is a book of lies and hate.
Interestingly enough, a person can burn the Bible - and God and HIS followers will forgive the foolish person. There is always hope for repentance. God is not harmed (how can one possibly harm the Infinite All Powerful God?) - but there is a loss to the burner (who will burn eternally if they don't repent).
Contrast that to the reaction of satan and his followers when his book (the koran) is burned: what follows is rage and mayhem...
Not very surprising, actually. Its spiritual author (satan) is bound for the lake of fire, and he's fairly short-tempered - knowing that his time is short. And it doesn't take much for him to get his minions to do his bidding.
Not just men but specially enlightened men. Holy men in the true sense of Holy.
The choices are two: Either Time Magazine editor Bobby Ghosh is really ignorant or he is lying to support a pro-muslim agenda. I am going to guess it is not choice “a.” But, if I am wrong, and he really is that ignorant ... all I can say is that as proud as I am to have dropped my Time subscription 30 years ago, I am sadder still that I ever had one. This is what they hire as editors?
Amen! IMHO our troops and our resources have absolutely NO place in a country that dislikes our freedoms and principles so much they will hunt down and kill innocent people if we DARE exercise those rights right here in our own country.
Use or armed forces to put a virtual wall around that part of the world and let them duke it out among themselves. It makes no sense, to me at least, to put our forces in harm's way to help perpetuate a way of life that hasn't changed in hundreds of years.
It's sad that there is a ‘religion’ in this world that is as evil as Islam, but that's the way it is. We need to recognize that fact and then act accordingly.
As for the good general, if he can't protect the life of his troops AND the rights of Americans guaranteed by the Constitution then it's time to bring the troops home.
Following the logic we're see being employed over there all we have to do is have a blood thirsty mob attack and tear limb from limb the demonstrators from that grotesque Baptist Church at the funeral of a soldier, airman, sailor, marine, etc. Would the general blame the folks from the Westboro Baptist Church at that point? I doubt it.
We should not be using the treasure of America to support a double standard. Period.
Yes it is & I am total agreement with her using jackass as many times as she did.
Marking....
Ahh, a little dhimmitude slipped in there... Jones has no blood on his hands, the murderous jihadis are the ones doing the killing and they would do so on some other pretext if Jones didn't exist.
Mr. Ghosh, your argument is irrelevent. Angry Muslims are irrelevent. Raging, insulted Muslims are irrelevent. They don't matter at all, not one little bit, not even a billion of them. In the United States of America, it is perfectly legal to burn a Koran.
Period.
But it is NOT legal for Muslims to threaten, harm or kill people because they are upset - about ANYTHING. The Koran, Mr. Ghosh, is completely irrelevent. It doesn't matter at all.
This is American law. If Muslims don't like it, they should leave. Stay away. Because this is how we do things here, and you don't have to be here.
Get. Out.
If youre a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, it is directly the word of God.
Uhhh... so why is that relevant to the First Amendment? I don't care if it's my crayon-and-marker life manifesto or a notarized letter sent directly from God, printed with Heaven's return address on it. If it's illegal to burn your own property because somebody thinks it's 'holy', then your freedom of speech is worthless.
This is *exactly* the sort of thing that lead to brutal, bloody wars for centuries. We really are reverting to an earlier form of our own species.
