In the brand new Mondays with Trump segment of Fox & Friends, potential Republican candidate for President and consistent headline seeker Donald Trump called in and shared his thoughts on the latest topics in the news. Proving that anything goes in the segment, Trump discussed everything from promoting Celebrity Apprentice in one moment, to his plans for Iraqi oil in the next.
Trump spoke highly about Republicans Paul Ryan and John Boehner and their efforts to get the federal budget under control. Yet on a lighter and more entertaining note, Trump commented on reports that Oprah Winfrey desires having him as a guest for a makeover on one of her last shows. Trump joked, Im worried about a sinister plot. The plot is that Oprah supported Obama, maybe she wants to give me a makeover so that I would not have even a minor chance against Obama.
Also Trump really enjoyed appearing with Bill OReilly last week, saying he received an amazing response from the OReilly show, its probably the biggest show hes ever done in the sense of three fairly full nights of me, and he was very happy, as he will tell you his ratings were phenonmenal. Gretchen Carlson couldnt help but let out a chuckle at Trumps unabashed promotion. Finally Trump didnt back down from earlier statements on Iraq, suggesting American soldiers will have died in vain if we leave Iraq and let Iran go and take the oil fields, instead of us as the victors getting the spoils.

My point is that politicians glibly send out troops on almost any pretext. The only justification for war is a real threat to our country, and there must be a coherent strategy and an objective. Our enemy is a loosely organized (if at all) bunch of terrorist thugs who are in various countries all over the world. Invading Iraq was just stupid. It has accomplished nothing in our country’s interest and has cost us dearly.
It is true that the military is always fighting the last war. What did they envision? Another WWII defeat of Germany and Japan? Anybody with an ounce of sense could have figured out that Iraq’s army would not fight, but that they would melt into the population and then there would be a guerilla war. This dragged out occupation could have been predicted and should have been. How much longer do we stay there to shore up Iran’s buddy, Maliki? How many more dead soldiers and orphaned kids do we want? Every time I read another story about some good kid who is not coming home or is permanently maimed, I am enraged. Do you think the American people would have been so gung-ho on this war if they had known it would drag on for years with no end in sight?
Let the politicians be the first ones to go when they sign on to war, and we will see how often they demand military intervention. Fat chance.
Apparently the Iraqis produce all types of petroleum products. What I just read is that the whole system over their is corrupt and rudderless. I found this article when trying to find the types of crude they have over there. From reading this, it seems as though having the US take over the oil production would be a great improvement. As it stands now, the bad guys are funneling petrol dollars to fund their terrorism. Take this piece for what it is worth.

A few more screws would be my prediction.
I think he might be portraying himself as a conservative to hurt the conservatives .
This latest about Iraq is the tipping point for me.
I thought it was expansionist German and Japanese policies.
I don't think so. I think he sees a weak GOP field and sees a real shot at it this time. He's trying to differentiate himself from the pack with the BC issue.
But do you really think that this thing about” To the Victor goes the spoils “ when invading a country is really going to go over ???
Even with the US the largest known energy resources is off limits.
I’m really starting to like Trump. Sure, he likes the spotlight but so what? That’s a good thing when it comes to politics. Given Trump’s comfort level with public speaking, I can see him as the first president in decades who can stand in front of the world and make his points forcefully, unambiguously and without a damn teleprompter. Trump definitely has that “Big Dick Daddy” thing going too; he gives off this sense that he doesn’t like being messed with and will crush you like a grape if you play with him. Just the sort of vibe needed to give our enemies pause. And man, can I see him brushing the creepy, whiney Dems off like so many flies. Not saying I’d vote for Trump right now, but he’s becoming a contender in my book. It’ll be easy for the Left to vilify into ineffectiveness a President Palin, Bachman, Romney (hate mentioning him in the same sentence!) Huckabee and just about any Repub contender that comes to mind. I’d love to see the Left try that cowardly crap on Trump. No way it’d work. Methinks the Left is positively terrified of the guy. As they should be.
Quack Quack Quack goes the duck.
All them dems started screaming that the Iraq war was about oil so W said we wouldn’t take it. I’ve been disappointed in him ever since.
In the begining we were supposed to get oil at a reduced price after we liberated Iraq. Then after awhile that just died away. Trump is right if we are going to constantly be the policeman of the planet we need to get paid for it. We don’t have the funds to continue to carry all the water for everyone. There is nothing wrong with letting the Iraqi’s pay us back with discount oil.
Trump? well, he doesn’t make me sick to my stomach when I listen to him. That’s more than I can say for the rest of them. I do not trust any politicians. That’s one of the reasons why I like Trump, he isn’t a politician.
Finally somebody says it without worrying about the MSM getting in a lather.
If you spend billions of dollars helping out a country, should you not get dibs on things that help you out?
That quote was from Gens. Smedley Butler, one of the darlings of the peacenik left.
Why quote that long-dead FDR-loving traitor?
You absolutely nailed it.
I was responding to someone who basically said anybody who is uncertain of Obama's eligibility has a few screws loose.
But carry on arguing with yourself. Don't bother checking what you're arguing about. It's all about you.
