At this point, I’m neither in support of nor against it. A couple of clown acts like obama and the UN couldn’t possibly help the situation though.

LIBYA, OBAMA’S BABY
Tune: “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4zRe_wvJw8

Libya, oh, Libya
I don’t mean Namibia
Libya, Obama’s baby
He’s a Bush, with thorns and thistles
When he sends in long-range missles

Libya, oh, Libya
Barack’s just like Dubya
Dubya, the bane of DU!
We thought we’d have peace with Obama the Great
But he’s a repeat of the bomber we hate
Is Cheney in charge at Defense or at State?
Déjà vu anew with Libya!

I don’t think you read your own post very well. As long as he’s out in 90 days he doesn’t need congress for anything.

The War Powers Resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action...

Nope, he has to notify Congress.

The funny thing about all this is that Dennis the twerp might actually succeed if he did it.

Now wouldnt that be a hoot? A socialist leading the impeachment process that impeaches his own.

He was right about not attending that secret Congressional meeting on passing the Spy Act too. I think Kucinich said that you had to sign an agreement that you would never repeat anything that was said in the meeting or you could not attend. So he didn’t attend and he questioned the validity of it. I think he was the only person who did.

How did we ever get such a terrible president!. Someone was pulling the strings for him. He was a complete unknown.
We’ve had three horrible presidents in a row now. Clinton, Bush and now this Obama. I would welcome Trump.

Specifically, the War Powers Resolution requires the president to provide written notification to Congress of the introduction of U.S. armed forces into hostilities within forty-eight hours of such action. The president must explain the reasons forces were inserted in a hostile situation, the executive’s authority for doing so, and the scope and duration of the military action. In addition, the president is required to terminate the use of military forces after sixty days unless Congress has declared war, extended the period by law, or cannot meet the sixty-day deadline as a result of an armed attack on the United States. The sixty days can be extended for thirty days by the president if the safety of armed forces would be jeopardized by immediate removal. The president is also required to remove forces at any time if Congress so demands by concurrent resolutions (known as a legislative veto). In essence, most members of Congress supported the notion that the president, as commander in chief, is empowered by the Constitution to lead U.S. forces once the decision to wage war is made or an attack on the United States has commenced.

It's clear that this hasn't happened yet, right?

Not 100% sure.If so then the ball is in congress’ court. If not it is still Obama’s serve.

He invited legislators to consult on Libya on Friday March 18 but I have not read that he sent written notification to congress but may have and I did not see it.

Well, I’m guessing that if he had then Kucinich wouldn’t be calling for his impeachment, but I’m not sure either. We’ll need more proof.
