Palin says that Christie is forced to cut budgets because NJ is broke. But she points out that when she became Governor of Alaska, she cut even though she had a surplus:

"Mrs. Palin, we know what it took to get you to quit as governor....what would it take to get you to quit as President?"

"Mrs. Palin, you said when you quit that you had become a lame duck and that lame ducks just waste the taxpayers' money...but...you had two years left to serve. Would you be a lame duck if you only had two years left as potus? Would you waste the taxpayers money? Would you quit again?"

I am 100% sure that absolutely no one will ever ask her these questions in any debate or editorial or campaign commercial or on any Sunday morning talk show interview....

Why won't they ask these questions? Because a handful of freepers say that they are not important.

Mrs. Palin has a reputation for this sort of thing. Meanwhile, it's not like Christie was going after Palin. He keeps getting asked, and has to give an answer. He's been diplomatic about it.

And his advice for her is no different than the generic advice he offers, which is nothing more than a reaffirmation of what he believes is at the root of his own appeal--bluntness, frankness, not worrying about what people think, not trying to play it safe.

So now the MSM is effectively created a foodfight within the GOP, and Palin is playing right into it. I just want her to get it over with. Run, lose, then go away.

And now she’s fallen into the trap, and is pissing off those of us who appreciate Gov. Christie. Meaning she’s going to get even LESS support. I just want it over with. I’d like to see her come in 4th in a few primaries and be done. That’d be beautiful.

In your dreams but that's what primaries are for. Providing they aren't fixed for the inside the beltway's pick.

So if you appreciate Gov. Christie do you also support these positions?

Chris Christie is on record saying that he does not believe illegal aliens are here illegally; he has indicated that he supports amnesty for illegals; he generally favors strict gun control and he supports construction of the Ground Zero Mosque even as he condemns those who oppose it.

lol. Someone in the primaries is going to have to have the guts to hit her between the eyes with it. I know it feels a little funny hitting a girl, but oh well. Mrs. Palin needs to be knocked out before she gets anywhere near a nomination. If she won the nod, the general election would be Delaware writ large.

Blah blah fight blah blah. You one percenters would be the first ones saying her personal bankruptcy disqualified her from running for president. You would also be all over her for, “not fighting back” because the ethics rules didn’t allow it. You are just another member of the “piss off” brigade.

She has had three years to really up her game and I just don’t see it. Its not an insult, I like her, but let’s be real, she does not inspire confidence in spontaneous situations.

They likely do not ask those questions because the federal office is not constrained by the same poorly considered, lopsided ethics complaint rules as in AK. In other words, I do not believe she would be in the same checkmated position, vis-a-vis abusive, frivolous complaints if elected POTUS. Ergo, the questions would not apply.

Besides, if you truly do not believe she would survive the primary, why do you care?

Like 2008, the GOP field of contenders is pretty weak. That's why there's so much Christie hype. I mean, the guy has only served a couple of years. He's 48 yrs old. Hardly what we would have thought of as presidential in the past. But look at the wannabes. Yikes.

I'm hopeful that Palinmania will die a natural death in the primaries. The real question is who do we want to be the nominee?

Powder..patch..ball FIRE!

What trap? Calling a Rino a rino? Christie is conservative for NJ but he’ll never fly in Missouri.

And I will crawl over broken glass to work and vote for Palin.

If you are making a claim, then you have to back them up with a link for us to investigate. A source would also work, like Wikipedia, etc,,.

Apparently you are just pasting another claim from another comment on this thread. Something this major would have several source links from which to base the accusation. Therefore, get busy, or consider your post to be just another mindless reflex from another cult member.

"Spoken like a true liberal. Quit my ass, she is in the fight."

When did quitting become a conservative right of passage? She is not in the fight, she is on Facebook. She cut and ran from the fight.

Doesn't Missouri have a Democrat governor? Isn't Claire McCaskill a Missouri US Senator? Yeah, you Missourians are a rock-ribbed conservative bunch! lol

Anyway, Christie isn't running, so you don't have to worry about him.

"Hey, PDS twit...for someone who "SURRENDERED" she sure took a lot of lib scalps in the 2010 elections."

Your're right about that. She took JD's out here in Arizona & our borders are less secure because of it.

You should probably define “We”. On second thought, I would hope you (and everyone else) would be able to name and defend your own, personal choice without asking others to name your candidate for you.

In any event, you might also consider that it is far too early to pick a specific candidate when we do not yet know for sure who the full slate of contenders will be. At this early point, all I am personally willing to confidently state is that I will be supporting the GOP candidate in the general election, whoever that may be.

*****Magical thinking. and, iirc, it was palin who crafted or implemented the "poorly considered, lopsided ethics complaint rule".*****

Besides, if you truly do not believe she would survive the primary, why do you care?

*****Because I fully understand that the world does not bend to a position simply because I believe in it.*****

We--GOP primary voters not voting for Mrs. Palin. My personal choice: Like you say, we need to see who's in and who isn't, but from this list (in no order): Huckabee, Romney, Barbour, Pawlenty, Daniels, Trump, my pick is Daniels.

Of course, there's no telling what that list will look like by the time the primaries get to NJ, and my primary vote is the only "support" any of them will get. Not one thin dime.
