Nancy Pelosi Raising Cash for Wisconsin Labor Fight
Politicsdaily ^ | 3/3/11 | Patricia Murphy

Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat in the U.S. House and a well-known rainmaker for her party, is lending her fundraising prowess to the ongoing labor battles in Wisconsin, where the Republican governor threatens to eliminate public workers' collective bargaining rights.

On Thursday, Gov. Scott Walker also ordered the arrests of 14 Democratic lawmakers who are on the lam to avoid voting on his budget bill.

Pelosi sent an e-mail to Democratic supporters nationwide Thursday, asking them to pledge as little as $5 to help fight what she called Walker's "reckless assault on the middle class."

"Karl Rove and the very same special interests that Republicans are voting to protect are planning a massive campaign to defend their radical agenda," Pelosi wrote. "This deserves an immediate response."

HEadline should read: “Pelosi raises cash to help Wisconsin public servants continue to raise cash for her”.

Nancy Pelosi is as vicious as Sarah Palin is virtuous.

Were I Walker and the WI legislative Pubbies, I would be tempted to say that if I’m going to get damned for it I might as well do it. Completely screw the unions and make WI a right-to-work state. Then watch the prosperity come back to the average Wisconsinite with a smirk and an “I told you so.”

Radical agenda? It would be funny if half the people in this country didn’t agree with her.

The Unions and DNC should have helped the members by paying the diff between the old costs and new.

Its about money laundering to the DNC and not about care for workers.

The unions lost a 20 million dollar meal ticket in Michigan the other day when we ended forced unionization of home child care workers. I suspect a similar number of home health care workers will be next.

I’m a little surprised there hasn’t been a lot of screeching from the unions over it. Apparently even they realize that forced unionization is a pretty tough sell.

Proving that unions for government workers has no ethical basis for existing.

So the President of the United States and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives are using their power and influence to affect the outcome of state legislation.

It violates Constitutional separation of powers and is an affront to the people of WI. No federal elected officer has a place in state legislative deliberations. It is an astounding abuse of power. IMHO, it is an impeachable offense.

The rat party is truly an enemy of these United States.

The public unions are to be the new Brown Shirts. The DNC and unions fit hand in glove.
