FOX NEWS. Why are you liberals so obsessed with it? Lets set aside the fact that the other 24-hour news channels have a liberal bias while Fox pundits lean to the right for a minute; I understand the politics. What I want to know is, why is Fox News the devil incarnate to you people while the other networks are just opinionated?
I watched a clip last night of an overly crazed liberal screaming FOX LIES! over and over at the top of his lungs. As is usually the case, when asked for an example, he had nothing. He wouldnt even stop screaming long enough to give it a shot.
Heres another question: Have any of you actually watched Fox News enough to have an informed opinion or are you just parroting what you hear from the likes of Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher? My experience with liberals suggests the latter. Lots of hemming and hawing when I ask for examples. Many of you tell me you watch Fox, but I have my doubts.
One more question: Why do you assume that conservatives are mindless programmed followers of Fox News? Most conservatives I know are pretty well-read people. Were also exposed to your side of the issues on the evil network on a daily basis.
As much as you detest Bill OReilly, I challenge you to give me an example of one program on another network that provides the same amount balance of opinion and panelists as is the case on The Factor every night. You might also check out Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Once again, youll see a balanced debate on the issues. No name calling, condescension or character assassination. You might actually find that refreshing for a change.
While I eagerly await your responses, heres my assessment of your obsession. It boils down to two things: Organizations like MSNBC and Media Matters do what they do for ratings and website traffic. (Check out Media Matters here for wall-to-wall Fox bashing, its hysterical.) I know what youre thinking; your pundits on MSNBC are lucky if they get 20% of the audience The Factor enjoys, so how could ratings have anything to do with it? Simple: while you guys watch your pals in much smaller numbers than we do, you are a rabidly loyal, predictable audience. Liberals love preaching to the choir.
The second reason is just as obvious. As is usually the case with the left, its much easier to attack those who disagree with your ideology than it is to have a level-headed, substantive debate on the issues. After all, liberalism is in large part defined by emotionalism. There is also a degree of hypocritical condescension among your elites. If we dont agree with you, were stupid. So be it.
While your attacks on all things Fox are predictable and do get a bit boring from time to time, I urge you to keep it coming. It makes for great blogging content, as well as a good laugh here and there.
Oh for gosh sakes! Don’t listen to Shepard Smith! Nothing good will come of that.
So I switched to Fox Business Channel and they had a reporter at the Wisconsin state capital interviewing a liberal democrat politician who was saying Gov. Walker was deciding whether or not to send "activists" into the legislature, and he knew for a fact that the Tea Party was "bussing" people in to stir up trouble.
The reporter kept claiming the governor was "back on his heels" after a press conference which didn't go well for him.
Wow, way to color a report, you impartial "journalist."
Mrs. Prince of Space
Excellant points.
Shep, Bill, Geraldo, Huck.... The list goes on and on...
Yes, Fox News is more conservative than the other news outlets, but not nearly enough.
Only a fool, idiot, or Liberal thinks Fox News is Conservative
Fox News supports Illegal Alien Amnesty, supports Free Trade with Communist China, supports Obama against the Birthers, and hires the most Liberal and Liberal RINO GOP contributors
Scary is that we have a lot GOP voters who agree with Liberals that Fox News is conservative
He just referred to Obama as 'beyond wimpy' in his sending Clinton to Geneva to make sure that Quadafi understands that he has been a bad boy.
