Is the world's largest super-volcano set to erupt for the first time in 600,000 years, wiping out two-thirds of the U.S.? (Full title)
The super-volcano beneath Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming has been rising at a record rate since 2004.
It would explode with a force a thousand times more powerful than the Mount St Helens eruption in 1980.
Spewing lava far into the sky, a cloud of plant-killing ash would fan out and dump a layer 10ft deep up to 1,000 miles away.
Two-thirds of the U.S. could become uninhabitable as toxic air sweeps through it, grounding thousands of flights and forcing millions to leave their homes.

Can I reserve one of those trailers now?
1. Superstorms arise from the Pacific wiping out California.
2. Yellowstone erupts wiping out 2/3 of the United States.
3. Betelgeuse goes supernova wiping out the world.
4. Sarah Palin elected wiping out the entire universe.
If it did, that would really blow bigtime!
No way is it the worlds largest supervolcano.
FEMA is looking to get tons of food that can last for 36 months, 14 million meals a day.
Thank You Discovery Channel for using disaster porn to further dumb down America.
Now everyone is just sitting around looking for every little thing to kill them.
I guess the forthcoming gigantic explosion will sorta confirm the Westboro Baptist Church’s riff that “God hates America.”
On the other hand, Fred Phelps and the WBC congregation probably won’t be around to celebrate, since Topeka would seem to lie within the zone that gets buried in ten feet of volcanic ash!
I’m more worried about another term for the Kenyan.
Nothing beats some good news on a Monday morning./sarc.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda
End-of-the-world speculation fills a few columns on a slow news day.
It’s AGW...if we all just stop breathing (producing CO2) it will solve everything.
In fact this administration might actually fund a way to force the eruption - ultimate late term abortion and end of life planning. They just need to convince all their detractors to move to the most affected areas!!! /sarc
Agreed!
lol they are preparing for the New Madrid Fault but I think people will be better off preparing themselves. Actually one should prepare no matter where they live there is always some kind of natural disaster or man made disaster that could erupt.

Anything is possible but I’ve just read articles saying current activity does NOT indicate an eruption anytime soon. Also I believe there are more frequent but smaller eruptions in between the biggies. You would see maJor activity in advance I would think way more than you saw prior to Mt. St. Helens.
I forgot to add...they will probably sell Yellowstone to a private firm beforehand and then blame capitalism for the explosion!!!
No one knows. There. that would have saved how many words of B.S.
Hm, you sound like a “glass half full” kind of person!
I don't know that the timeline would require getting excited . . .
and the following only need drive us closer to God and His Peace
however, the FACT
that these signals are increasing DURING the BIBLICAL END TIMES PERIOD as witnessed by a very long list of other indicators is a bit sobering.
Throw in the globalists purported nefarious super tech capacitites to trigger and influence devastating geological stuff . . . hmmmmm
Folks need to wake up . . . as in NEEED to wake up.
We aren't in Kansas any more.
We aren't going back to Kansas any more.
Kansas may not even be in very good shape any more, if yellowstone blows it's top . . . or Monsanto has its way.
