Terrorism, Sure. Oh, but it's 'Not a Conspiracy'!
Publius Forum ^ | 11/28/10 | Warner Todd Huston

How many terror attacks or attempted terror attacks have occurred on U.S. soil since 9/11? Five? Six? Ten? According to our government each and every one of these attacks, whether failed or not, have had one thing in common: "they are not part of a conspiracy."

Clearly, however, our officials are lying to us on this count.

Just to name a few of these incidents, in no certain order we've had Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomber; Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the underwear bomber; Richard Reid, the shoe bomber; Michael Finton (calling himself Talib Islam), the creep in Illinois that wanted to bomb a federal building; Derrick Shareef, the other guy in Illinois planning an attack on a shopping mall and also Major Hassan's Fort Hood massacre that actually came to fruition. There have been others, too. Just this week, for instance, we got Mohamed Osman Mohamud, the Christmas tree bomber.

But after each of these incidents one of the first things said by our government officials is that these people are not a part of a "conspiracy." The F.B.I., or the Dept. of Homeland Security, or Janet Napolitano, or even President Obama himself all have rushed to the nearest camera to assure us that this is just the actions of a lone nut. Often these erstwhile government officials have told us that these guys are "home-grown" terrorists...

Let’s concede for a second that it may not be a conspiracy. In that case, what reasonable assumption is to be made other than these folks all came to the conclusion, INDEPENDENTLY, that Islamic doctrine requires this behavior of them. That says loads about Islam.

The “religion of peace” purveyors cannot have it both ways!

First of all, they never include the murderer at the recruiting office in Arkansas.

Second, I have been thinking about the cancer of terrorism. It seems like the ideology of Jihad has gotten into the lymph nodes of the world, or the doctor has removed the tumor, but there are little cells migrating around.

Better yet, the poison that caused the tumor, is still being ingested. Only some of the people who ingest the poison react this way, but there is no telling who they are.

Those making the poison can be addicted to it, sell it, and/or just use it to create more addicts and stay in business.

We are losing the war on drugs, so how can we expect to win the war on terror?

Are there any towns that are totally drug free?

He doesn’t have to.

He doesn't have to bathe himself either but I certainly hope he does.

What's the difference?

“First of all, they never include the murderer at the recruiting office in Arkansas.”

True. There’s a lot of others that weren’t listed too. But that is why it said “just to name a few.” It wasn’t meant as a full list.

We’ve had this discussion previously... You must have short-term memory issues, or selective retention - I’m guessing both...

This post is in the “Bloggers & Personal forum” where users are to post things such as the very original post.

This forum was created so as not to clutter the “News/Activism” forum with this type of material.

We've had this discussion previously. Either your retention sucks or your comprehension is shot.

This post is in the “Bloggers & Personal forum” where users are to post things such as the very original post.

He didn't post it. He excerpted it, hoping you will visit his blog to see the rest.

That isn't posting, it's excerpting.

It's a blogpimp ploy to get hits. Don't be a sucker.

Again, this thread is posted appropriately, in a form and in a space designated for this type of content.

If you’re looking for a sucker, I suggest locating any nearby highly reflective surface, and gaze away.

Islam is itself a vast conspiracy. The Koran instructs Muslims to attack infidels until the whole world is Muslim.

The Wall Street Journal recently published an article about the Muslim on-line magazine INSPIRE. I looked it up. One of the articles was on how to construct a pipe bomb using household materials. The whole point of the magazine is to instruct Muslims on how to carry out "sudden jihad syndrome" without being part of a formal conspiracy. They don't need a message from Osama bin Laden. The Koran tells them what to do, and INSPIRE tells them how.

So you approve of scummy bloggers USING Free Republic as an
advertising platform, free of charge. Posting "bait" to get hits.

Gotcha.

We'll just have to disagree on that.

This forum was created so as not to clutter the “News/Activism” forum with this type of material.

I think FR should abandon the bloggers forum and post everything in News/Activizm.

I don't see the FreeperBeaters complaining about the thousands of articles excerpted there.

And many of those don't technically/legally have to be excerpted.

You would be correct in your “blog pimp police” post on this were it posted in the News/Activism forum. But it’s not there. It’s in the forum where this content is not only allowed, but precisely what it was created for. You have user controls available to you to block the Bloggers/Personal forum if you desire to not see content of this type. Or, you can exercise some self control, and simply ignore it.

Your comparison/contention is irrelevant.

This Bloggers/Personal forum is for content of this nature as presented.

Don’t like it? You don’t have to read it.
