Palin would be more persuasive in that second spot. Perry took himself out when he became head of the RGA (GOP govs). Heading up the first spot is going to be tricky, Barbour was a FANTASTIC RNC spokesman in '94 (far, far better than obnoxious Newt who glammed all the credit for that shellacking of the Dems). He is no RINO (my worry about charismatic Christie) and Haley is somewhat under the radar.

Because of the natural disasters in the Gulf, his national voice (as well as Jindal's) has been eclipsed by local needs and concerns. Jindal screwed himself over with that AWFUL response to the State of the Union. Let's hope he can recover. Pence is articulate too.

But if Palin gets nominated to head the ticket, we are REALLY "done for." Yet, how many FReepers view her as a credible draw to independent voters?

She’s as credible as Reagan was. I seem to remember he got elected just fine.

i view her as a great draw of independents....do you really think these indies were going to vote like this earlier this month without palin articulating as she has done for months?

where is this so called ‘devisivness’????

what exactly does palin support in terms of us/foreign policy that indies wouldnt be in favor of?

Who was the voice we heard the last 2 years? Palin, and the Independents Went Republican and the women voted more Republican then Dem for the first time Ever!

They are not going to vote Zero again, Get REAL!
