"Barbara Bush Should Shut Up," says Dan Riehl. Oh no. Not our Bar. Painful to acknowledge, but after a lifetime of embracing the former first lady's persona of outspoken authenticity, we have to admit she no longer speaks to us. See below for details. Above, GHWB and Barbara in a Larry King interview that will air Monday.

How to explain this to an idiot?
The capitalized, italicized words at the beginning of my post are not attributable to me, they are attributable to "Hildy." The words "social" and "fiscal" are not nouns; rather, they are adjectives modifying the word "conservative." "The "bush's" is incorrect; they are correctly referred to as "the Bushes," with the "b" capitalized and with an "e," not an apostrophe, between the "h" and the final "s."
All this panties-wadding because I pointed out to you that I am not responsible for the election of Obama to the White House. What a petulant little moron!
Yea, Chunga seems to be a real winner from what I have seen. Small person big keyboard syndrome.

KING: You also disclose, Barbara George discloses something very personal about you, which he says you gave him special permission to write about. He wrote that when you once had a miscarriage, you showed him the fetus in the jar. BARBARA BUSH: No, really the truth is
KING: We touched on it before. But we didnt elaborate. BARBARA BUSH: I didnt put it in the jar. KING: What? BARBARA BUSH: Its not in the library. No
KING: I know. BARBARA BUSH: George Paula put it in the jar. And I was shocked when she gave it to him to but, you know, memories dim a little bit but, anyway but he was very
KING: Were you shocked that he put it in the book? BARBARA BUSH: No. He asked permission, and I gave him permission. Its his book. And I think he was trying to say that he and I have a very special relationship. We tease all the time, and thats not very nice of me, but you know, youve got to tease a little bit. And he teases me unmercifully. But were very close.
--Well, isn't THAT how your "adopted son" would put it???
And, I'm NOT teasing! ;-)
I listened to Palin’s answer to Laura Ingraham earlier, before that thread was posted. Laura asked her about it and Palin responded, it didn’t sound like she was bothered by it. She talked around it and used the occasion to take a shot at the “blue bloods”, not Barbara Bush. I looked at that new thread and to tell you the truth, I think many FReepers are out of their FRickin’ minds. They get bent out of shape over the stupidest stuff, Palin fans included.
I stand by my original comment.
It is pretty clear to me that she was upset by it. No I never heard her on Laura Ingraham, who supports Romney BTW , or atleast she did, not that many weeks ago, but You say Sarah had no problem with the comment, that`s your right for sure.

Here you go. IMO, Laura didn’t think Sarah Palin was upset enough. Listen to the interview and see what you think. It seems this is only a story today because media types made it so. Her political instincts are at work using this episode to set herself up against the inside the beltway elites and with real America. Solid move.
At any rate I still see it as quite a slap in the face from Ole Mrs Bush, just as Charles Krauthammer constantly has slammed Sarah, back to Alaska etc.
People are allowed to see things differently, I see it one way and you another, no problem.
Hey on a side note, never read the article but only the headline, but it seems Fred Barnes has done another about face and is now suggesting that Sarah is the best person out there to represent Conservatives.
Fred has been all over the place on Sarah Palin. No I do not rely on headlines alone, but there are so many articles I cant read them all.
nuff out of me :)
Barbara Bush proves, once again, that the Bushes are, at heart, elitists. This helps push me toward a position of supporting Palin for President in 2012. I can’t think of a better way to send a message to the ruling elite that elitism is no longer welcome.
