"Barbara Bush Should Shut Up," says Dan Riehl. Oh no. Not our Bar. Painful to acknowledge, but after a lifetime of embracing the former first lady's persona of outspoken authenticity, we have to admit she no longer speaks to us. See below for details. Above, GHWB and Barbara in a Larry King interview that will air Monday.

You made my point. Thank you.
LoL! ya’ll sure get riled up. Everyone is nasty and everyone blames it on someone else(they did it first). I just don’t see the point in getting so riled up over what some faceless person posts.
I didn’t think what was said was really that bad anyway. She’s allowed to have her opinion and I don’t tend to hate people just for how I perceive they treat someone else.
If any of the Bushes peruse these pages, let them know this....and pass it on to Barbara Bush: Your time is passed. You were passable, barely, as standard-bearers for the movement. Now, it is time for new and better blood to take the lead and move us from the gray days of Conservatism to the brighter days sure to come. Enjoy your retirements. Keep your mouths shut as you sink into history. We’ve learned the difference between Conservatives and self proclaimed “Republicans”. We’re better for it. Vaya con dios.
Thanks for the laugh!
Who is nopardons?
**and I noticed how angry it has been getting.**
If your not angry about the direction this country is headed, then maybe you should check your pulse.
Just sayin’
Why check my pulse? We did this to ourselves it’s not like someone snuck in and has done this hopey changey crap we the voters did it and it’s our fault.
I just got to see the video today and I agree. It wasn't a comment taken out of context. It was very deliberate on her part.
I've always liked Barbara more than any other Bush but my opinion of her is right up there with Karl Rove now. Go back to Texas you bitter old bat.
At the same time, we conservatives are also keenly aware that any potential nominee who is an unabashed conservative is going to receive a virtual TSA exam from the news media, with every one of their discernible flaws enlarged and broadcast on monitors across the land. Consequently, we'd be well-advised to find the best, most experienced, quick-thinking, articulate and principled person we can for the job.
I genuinely like Sarah Palin as a person and think she's a hell of a lot smarter than our risible news media make her out to be. But I also think we've got other, principled conservatives who'd likely make better national candidates than she would. That's just my own judgment.
It's not time to commit yet, so I'd suggest to some here with itchy ZOT! buttons to just chill out, let everyone's opinion be heard, and work together where possible to ensure that the GOP nominate a true conservative (i.e. - no Romneys) with a solid record of achievement to run against Obama in 2012.
Speak for yourself...an apt screen name BTW
Don’t be an ass I have not even addressed you in this thread. So if you want to jump in here being a jerk go find someone else, I don’t have time for purile idiots.
It’s the truth we are a collective group and we decide who represents us and we have put this bunch in office.
I can't speak for FR, but it certainly is my policy.
Barbara Bush is an egg-sucking skunk; a frizzy-haired, prune-faced, zombie RINO fruitcake. Her husband sold us out to China; one son robbed the Savings & Loans; another son sold us out to Mexico, China, and India; another son and grandson are plotting to sell us out some more. A pox on all of them. Reagan left us a conservative legacy, and the Bushes have been trashing it for the past twenty-two years, non-stop.
It must really piss them off that Sarah Palin quotes Ronald Reagan so much, and hardly anything ever uttered by a Bush is worth repeating.
And while we're on the topic, the sad state of our economy is a direct result of hair-brained schemes of Ivy League retards from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc., waging economic warfare against the tax-paying citizens of the USA. The Dems and RINOs are the enemies of We the People.
That was nicely said. I'm tired of being nice.
Talk about puerile idiocy (that's how to spell it BTW)
see..that I can respect.
Is it custom to be a dick while at it or is it custom to act like an adult? Let me know when you can act like an adult, till then you can sit on ignore with the other dipshits.
The bush’s are social conservatives they just aren’t fiscal conservatives. Might wanna learn your nouns before jumping out there hotshot.
Hildy there it seems that now there is a group who decides who is conservative and who is allowed to be trashed and what people can say. I have already experienced it and if you don’t agree they like to call names and try to start arguments for no reason except that you don’t agree with them. This is apparently what the “new conservative” is. LOL!
I know... but this goes on all the time here. You learn which threads to stay away from. They want no honest debate, they just want a pep rally. That’s fine.
I just think it’s funny how some folks declare they are the conservative or republican or whatever like they are the ones who have set the gold standard. It’s a shame but this is what has screwed up politics so badly. Everyone thinks they have the only right way and will bash and be jerks because they can’t handle disagreement.
Oh well the internet is just a place where those who nobody will listen to can still spout off.
