Ted Rall has a new book out titled The Anti-American Manifesto. In it he makes an explicit call for a violent socialist revolution from within. In case you think this is all a big joke, here’s an excerpt from the book:

In the past, they formed groups like the John Birch Society and the Aryan Nations. Now the hard Right has a postmodern, decentralized non-organization organization called the Tea Party.
Right-wing organizational names change, but they amount to the same thing: the reactionary sociopolitical force—the sole force—poised to fill the vacuum when collapse occurs. The scenario outlined by Margaret Atwood’s prescient novel The Handmaid’s Tale—rednecks in the trenches, hard military men running things, minorities and liberals taken away and massacred, setting the stage for an even more extreme form of laissez-faire corporate capitalism than we’re suffering under today—is a fair guess of how a post-U.S. scenario will play out unless we prepare to turn it in another direction…

The millions of partisans who follow Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and right-wing televangelists happen to be the best-armed people around, and they despise just about everyone who doesn’t think and pray like them. They will see collapse as affirmation of their beliefs that secular liberalism is destructive. They will also see it as an opportunity to create a new, ordered world atop the ashes. They will act to stop teenage sluts from getting abortions, teach niggers a lesson, and slaughter those spics, dots, and everyone else who doesn’t fit into their vision of what and who is right…
I want to kick people in the ass. To get them thinking. To get you thinking. I want you to understand the situation—your situation. I want you to see that revolt is a good idea, and that it has never been more necessary. That’s a small sample of chapter one. He’s not kidding. He wants a war. He even uses al Qaeda sleeper cells as an example. And of course where would one go to promote a book about the violent tearing down of America? Here’s Rall on MSNBC:

Ironically, it was only about a month ago that Sharon Angle was excoriated by several MSNBC talking heads for making a reference to “2nd amendment remedies.” Is Chris Matthews going to call out Ted Rall and/or Dylan Ratigan for letting him promote this? Rachel Maddow wanted to know if Angle’s language was finally too extreme. Well is it still extreme when it’s coming from the far left over your own TV channel, Rachel? If so, maybe you should poke your head down the hall and say something.
He has absolutely no idea what normal people are like.
An unwillingness to distinguish between reality and fantasy may be the result of trauma that creates potent, sometimes overwhelming emotional needs. If "unwillingness" progresses to inability, as I suspect it may have with Mr. Rall, you are then dealing with a person who is no longer merely perturbed, but insane.
Give it your best shot, Rall. So will we.
Or just the prevailing gun ownership laws.
Don't show up for a revolution and think those pissant hippies that follow the G-8 and G-20 meetings are a revolution are your warriors, they ain't sh&t.
Obama wants his own internal political thug miltary to take care of the domestic terrorists. You know who Jan the man named as America’s domestic terrorists. Jan and Bam Bam are authority figures who are on the same page as Ted Rall. Then you have Holder who claimed he won’t enforce the law to protect the rights of people if the violators are the good guys like the Nation of Islam. You have Soros demanding Obama suspend the order of a constituional Repubic and rule by decree (EO). Just connect the dots to see where the left wants to go.
Very cool. Now if Universal would kill his cartoon contract, I would be a truly happy camper!
