You're openly praising someone for demeaning how long it took her to get a degree.

I "openly praised" someone for demeaning someone? Bull. I said "Stop bringing up facts, you'll be accused of being a liberal." Which part of that praises anyone for anything? Which part demeans anyone?

If you have to lie about me to make a point, you're not only a liar, you have no argument.

And now you're spinning that degrees mean nothing to you, now that you've been called out on it.

Degrees mean nothing to me. Show one quote where I've ever said--ever--that degrees are necessary for anything, ever. I don't have one. I have known countless people who have them who are stick stone stupid about the real things in life, and it doesn't impress me.

You flat-out lied just there, and you have nothing--nothing--to back up your lie. That's what happens when you're so desperate to "win" a false argument--you get caught up in the fantasy argument in your mind, and are exposed.

Again, I repeat. What's your degree in, and where from?

I don't have a degree. I barely got out of high school before I went to work full time after working jobs since I was nine. Your degrees or anyone else's don't impress me at all because I have self-educated myself all my life and am quicker-witted than everyone at my current job, including my boss who is multi-degreed and consults me on work far beyond my job description.

See, this is what happens when you're so eager to impress yourself that you just lie. You end up looking foolish.

I never said anything about her degree--have no idea what her degree is IN, and don't care--because it's not about what a degree means, which is many things. It's about what being HONEST about her past says about her, and why, after Barney Frank's lack of experience led to the disaster we're in, we would let someone who can't even take care of her own finances go to Washington to represent people in the greatest deliberative body in the world.

What was your GPA in your

That's all you got, smart guy? Your education obviously didn't teach you much, other than how to lie to make your silly point.

Beat it.

The rhetorical technique is called "praising with faint damns" (a twist on the original).

It's fun to see you sputtering on angrily for paragraphs on end. Especially enlightening was this one:

I don't have a degree. I barely got out of high school before I went to work full time after working jobs since I was nine.

So why all the eagerness to take the side of someone making fun of COD for taking 12 years to get a degree? One would *think* you'd identify with her and admire her spunk and 'stick-to-it-iveness'. It's a nice contrast to the overly polished, Harvard-educated TOTUS, isn't it? And to Chris Coons, who has a Yale degree?

Or are you afraid someone from the left, or a RINO, with advanced degrees will look down on you, so you jump all over COD to deflect fire?

Why not START by own your accomplishments, which would gain the respect of everyone worth listening to: it used to be that people would brag about getting their degree from the "school of hard knocks."

And it is just that which excites so many conservatives about Palin and O'Donnell -- they are not elitists like Kerry, the Clintons, the Kennedys -- hell, almost the entire Dem ruling class -- and represent the best of American individualism, having LIVED and STRUGGLED to their current position, without having Daddy's connections or an Ivy League degree to open the way.

It's about what being HONEST about her past says about her, and why, after Barney Frank's lack of experience led to the disaster we're in, we would let someone who can't even take care of her own finances go to Washington to represent people in the greatest deliberative body in the world.

You mean like owning up to having dabbled with an Ouija board (which might discourage many of her Christian base)?

And the difference with Christine and Barney Frank is, Christine struggled, she didn't cheat and steal with other people's money, and then hide behind the press (and her own skirts, as the flaming queer Frank did "his" skirts) to keep it from coming out. She only messed up her own finances, which makes her that much more sensitive to being careful with others' money, including our descendants'.

So why pick on Christine?

Cheers!
