Why Karl Rove Flipped-Out Over Christine O’Donnell's Nomination
ButAsForMe ^ | 9/18/2010 | ButAsForMe

Shortly after Christine O’Donnell won the GOP nomination, Karl Rove ripped the newly minted candidate during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity. Rove said,

“I’ve met her. I wasn’t frankly impressed by her abilities as a candidate. One thing that O’Donnell is now going to have to answer in the general election that she didn’t in the primary is her own checkered background.”

Karl Rove flipped out because he risks becoming irrelevant. He is, after all, the architect. He has utilized his skills to create complex strategies that have propelled many candidates to victory.

But a true grass-roots movement needs no architect. It’s spontaneous. It only requires an authentic leader for the grass-roots to become and stay inspired.

Christine O’Donnell gained the nomination by simply being an authentic conservative. Her small budget during the primaries afforded no Madison Ave. style focus groups — or any of the mass marketing tools designed to manufacture consent.

If word gets out that someone can get elected by simply being a conservative, it eliminates the need for a grand orchestrator to pre-select candidates the establishment loves for the people of America. Rather, the people themselves directly choose their representation.

If Tea Party candidates win, they take power away from the old RINO Establishment. Rove cannot have that. The Tea Party Rebellion must be put down.

Rove and the Ruling Class RINOs are now our enemies.

If one or two “newbies” win in November, it’s an easy task for the GOP machine to “assimilate” them into the fold. However, if a whole bunch of Tea Party / conservatives get in (2010, 2012, etc.,) it will be the machine that will get “assimilated”.

I’m frankly worried that Karl may yet turn out to be right. There have been some stories bandied about concerning Christine O’Donnell that might indeed be enough to take her down in the general election.

Remember who we’re dealing with here. Embarrassing dirt on his enemies appearing at the eleventh hour has greased Obama’s meteoric political career so far. Of course, such dirt is useless if people do not want to hear about it. Something that has also marked his meteoric political career...

It’s bigger than that.

The real reason is Rove is horrified that the BIG GOP MACHINE he and the Bushies MOLDED and still CONTROL is crumbling.
The MACHINE that Rove said would last 20 Years.

The Grassroots are about to overrun it in the fall.

It’s about more than simply not needing “The Architect.”
The fact is, the Ruling Class RINOs have been telling Republicans for decades that authentic conservatives can’t win elections. That is how these RINOs maintain their power within a naturally conservative party.

If Republicans are allowed to see that conservatives can win in the RINO strongholds, then their powerbase is gone.

The people spoke and Rove accused them of being ignorant Could any better statement have proved that the estabilishment knows what’s best for us regardless if we vote the contrary. I’ll be curious to see if FOX continues to carry this RINO on anything ever.

That makes a lot of sense, IMO. I believe the irrelevance of the party machine is also emphasized by O’Donnell’s ability to win with no experience and her so-called “checkered past” against the whole Republican establishment (except a few like Palin and Demint) supporting her opponent... a long-term. supposedly well-respected politician.

And what about the stories on Chris Coon? Except, they aren’t stories, they’re true.

People didn’t pay attention to zero’s background when electing him vacationer-in-chief. I’m sick of people saying she has baggage. Heck, everyone has baggage. Her baggage doesn’t affect my lifestyle, but, her votes DO!

I think Rove is done on Hannity.
Rush is done with him too.
So are DeMint’s young guns, who will be running the party by 2013.

The loony liberals were right after all, Rove is a rat and a weasel.
Perhaps they were right about all his alleged crimes, too.

This gal’s so-called checkered past will be a piker next to any Democrat’s. I don’t care how long it took for her to pay off her student loan. She did it and didn’t bitch about it like Michelle O.

Isn’t it about time we began talking about O’Donnells opponent. A man that went to Kenya, and came back a self professed “bearded Marxist”? Who is the one with skeletons in the closet?

She had her problems....some of which she shares with the Americans that Obama has put out of work, their homes and their marriages. Honorable people are PISSED and they have a right to be.

O’Donnell’s opponent is a Marxist; just like the pResident gay-man-child.

Cloward/Piven is the gay-man-child’s strategy for making America a third world country....I’m certain Coons agrees with knee-capping America. He hates America just like his gay-man-child “comrade” does.

If people can’t tell the difference between Coons and O’Donnell, they should be in straight jackets.

"a true grass-roots movement needs no architect", so Rove is out of a job....

A staffer once said of Mr Rove that you had to "undermine the other side's support by casting them as liars, cheaters, stealers, immoral—all of that."

The Atlantic , wrote Karl Rove in a Corner..a mastery of campaigning

It may be all grass roots, BY THE PEOPLE, as the new get elected theory, but everyone is not going to be always being playing nice on the other side, voting booths, recounts, unknowns yesterday - here today candidates, infiltrators; etc..and so we cannot become too complacent or completely trusting. That's when make and break mistakes are made.

One bad call does not determine one's career. Probably the one everyone will remember for a time; however--as with Dr. Krauthammer. King makers one day, then "who needs ya"!

Christine O’Donnell was the GOP nominee for senator in 2008. Where was Karl then?
