I can’t believe how childish you all are. Technically, he is correct..It doesn’t matter how many conservative people run IF WE DON’T WIN. We took a sure thing and we put it in a position we will probably lose. All Krauthammer is doing is pointing out the obvious...Don’t shoot the messenger. As much as I hope she wins...my gut is telling me we just gave up any chance of getting the Senate back. And please don’t tell me it doesn’t matter if it has a few RINO’s...it does and you’re being very disingenuous to say it doesn’t.

In case no one told you this Charles, the age of Bill Buckley is over.

Agreed. The days of urbane disquisitions over nuances are long gone. "Firing Line" was a civil and congenial Kabuki dance which was choreographed to fit Bill Buckley's verbal facility but seldom if ever yielded anything substantive.

And, I remember the day when murderer Bobby Seale ate Buckley's lunch live and on the air--urbanity has its limits when it meets a polished sociopath.

So too do the pomposities of Krauthammer.

Wow... He is an establishment Republican guru and makes his money that way... So we should take his word as gospel? Don’t think so... The world has changed while he was tweeting and it is now up to the voters...

Wow, what a great post.

I like Charles, but he stepped on the crank, with old fashioned, steel tipped, golf shoes.

The old line guys, having never really worked for a living, outside of politics or courtrooms, have no real concept of the anger behind the TEA Party idea.

TEA Party folks are just plain Americans that have had enough of the lies and bullshit and refuse to sit down and shut up.

We know the truth and all of the drive bye spinning won't change facts, so we will change the congress critters, until we get ones that keep their word.

Thanks to you, Neil, and other patriots at this thread. What a great exchange! You guys verbalize so much more articulately than any “articles’ I’ve seen, even from “Conservative” journalists. I have been asked to write an editorial for a group I belong to and you have given me fodder this morning.

I am really sick of faux Conservatives “I’m a Republican”, some of whom are family members! My kids know that to express any even remotely liberal ideas in this house is to be written out of the will.
But my daughter and son in law suggest that any Republican is better than none and while we are at it, why don’t we amend the Constitution to make it more modern? Finally, “Rush is too extreme!” Oh please..
You better be making a good salary, guys, cuz you are so on the edge of losing any future inheritance! :-)

I get furious at family dinners and feel like throwing mashed potatoes at them.
As for friends who say, “We just don’t go there” or “I”m not sure where they stand on politics”, you are linguine spined wusses!
I pronounce my right leanings, love of country and commitment to the principles of the founding fathers to the grocery store clerk and the garbage man. You betcha.

Who cares about discretion and being politically correct? We are in the fight of our lives and we need to stand on the shoulders of Ronald Reagan.
Thanks for letting me vent! :-)
