New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is known for telling it like he sees it. At a town hall meeting in Raritan, NJ, he made sure to bolster that reputation. The fireworks start in the beginning but be sure to listen to the video clip below. Governor Christie explains how the teachers union in the state refused to compromise to save the states crucial education dollars. Listen and see why I love Governor Chris Christie!

The average teacher makes $55,000. Many of the best teachers make much less than the average teacher. Many of the worst make much more.
The money they get keeps going up and up and up and yet the whining keeps getting louder and louder and louder. And performance doesnt improve.
Why would performance improve if they're not paid based on performance?

“Would YOU buy a soy granola bar at a bake-sale from these people?”
Lol, yeah I wouldn’t buy any from them, but then again I was educated before the schools went completely to hell, so I’m probably not as gullible as most.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching him dress down that so called teacher and her sense of entitlement. Thanks for posting. This shows how greedy unions really are.

Here is one retired Kindergarten teacher (43 years) who is pushing 70....and before I leave this earth my hope is to see the end of the NEA and the Federal Department of Education! :)

If that is the case, he would not get my support. He has stated that he will not run for President, so perhaps he will be a great Governor for New Jersey. Time will tell, but I do like his stands against the NEA!

We desperately need 500+ clones of Gov. Christie in DC. and another 500+ clones of Gov. Christie at every level of government in every state.

I do like his stands against the NEA!Me too and I teach high school in the inner city! I think the Dept of Ed is possibly the most useless federal agency ever created next to the BATFE.
