For 10 days, even as dire housing and economic reports continued, President Obama kept to a disciplined vacation schedule, allowing only the occasional glimpse of him on Marthas Vineyard as he golfed, dined, and relaxed.
But now, Democratic Party officials said, a recharged president will hit the midterm election hustings with a message tuned to echo his 2008 campaign theme of Hope and seek to persuade skeptical Americans that his long-promised economic recovery is real.
He is still a very strong energizer of the Democratic vote, said Tim Kaine, chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Hes going to be hustling on the road until the November election and hell be relishing the opportunity.
It will be one of Obamas greatest challenges. Despite spending billions of dollars on stimulus programs, unemployment remains stubbornly high at 9.5 percent, housing is in a deep slump, and the Tea Party is ascendant in some key states. Many analysts are predicting that Democrats will lose a number of seats in the House and Senate and possibly control of Congress.
Indeed, Republicans are welcoming Obama back to the campaign trail. He makes our argument for us, said Doug Heye, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee.
I'm looking forward to when DU starts posting things like, "Is Obama a Republican plant?"
>>Aims to reassure voters on US economy
Obama is going to resign.
He is going to repeat Hoover’s “prosperity is just around the corner” line, guaranteed. LOL!
I don’t go over there very often, but I’ll bet it’s already happening.
I haven’t been there in forever. It’s like stepping into a cellar full of snakes.
I heard its more like swimming in a septic tank...
He can denounce Mao, Keynes, Stalin, resign and move back to Kenya.
Things will be just fine as soon as the marxists that took control of Congress in 2006 are voted out in November.
May I pose a silly question?
How much time, percentage wise, has The Usurper actually devoted to being President?
I recognize that having 44 Czars working in the White Hut lightens the burden somewhat, but still decisions have to be made after some consideration, right?
Don’t decisions have to be considered?
Well Ok, if you don’t need to read legislation before voting, I guess you don’t need to make a consideration before making a decision.
I get it now - Government by CommieAuto Pilot.
White Hut “work style” is vacation, campaign, rest, vacation, campaign, rest ...
*Obama to hit campaign trail after island vacation: Aims to reassure voters on US economy*
Yeah, well, good luck with that.
Well, no, he’s not going to be the energizer bunny for the votes because people are just flat out tired of his lies and his insane policies. Unfortunately for him there is this old saw that says:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!
Hes going to be hustling on the road until the November election and hell be relishing the opportunity.
Spewing more of his B.S. for his sheep to swallow.
Make no mistake, after Beck’s rally numbers they will come out meaner and nastier than ever! Gird thy loins and prepare thyself!
The less time he does the better off we are.
I can find no argument with which to dispute you pithy insight sir!
Aw shoot. You beat me to it.
It’s still a long time until November, enough time for what, ...three more, four more vacations?
Sir doesn't work for me. Bill is good enough.
