Free Republic makes every user write HTML by hand. There are many ways to automate posting pics including simple copy and paste. For instance, it only took me one key press to recopy your quote above in italics. And it only takes me two keystrokes to post this picture:
If you use windows search the site "Lifehacker.com" for their free program called "texter." That's what I use.

Exactly. It is way past time for an upgrade just to do simple things such as bold, underline, add pictures, new paragraphs, etc. Hey! That reminds me!
Have you donated recently???

I don't see why even suggesting this is met with such anger by most users. It's not 1997 anymore.
Even DU has a better posting system now. They can share videos and images quickly with each other.

"Free Republic makes every user write HTML by hand." It keeps the herd culled, and eliminates the weak.

True. But it is probably a barrier for some people.

Most of the reason that Obama won the youth vote in 2008 was because he was on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc... the "Youth Vote" does not have a solid belief structure. They simply went for Obama because Obama occupied that media space. Conservatives ignore the youth so the "Youth Vote" do not know that the conservative option exists. All they know is the strawman conservative that appears on Jon Stewart.
Conservatives should be reaching out. Not making it even harder for them to be a Conservative.
