The Perfect Society: A Land without Wealth?

Utopia! It's the holy grail of egalitarian busybodies far and wide. If only outcomes were equal, as defined by the egalitarians themselves, the world would become a place of balanced chi and seamless harmony. These societal engineers have long believed in their unique intellects and superlative abilities, which qualify them to distribute wealth and contentment to a longing world. Sadly, there's no shortage of these do-gooders.

A New York State Assemblyman envisions an increased millionaire tax. If passed, high income earners -- who already bear a disproportionate share of New York's tax burden -- will pitch in an additional 11 percent. The broken record known as Hillary Clinton still laments how "the rich" don't pay their "fair share" of taxes. Oregon, too, has joined the chorus.

Earlier this year, Oregon voters passed Measures 66 and 67, raising taxes on individuals and businesses that wealth redistributors, in their profundity, have deemed excessive winners in life's lottery. Typical class envy tactics preceded that electoral outcome. Proponents argued that education, public safety, and health would suffer if the initiatives failed. The poor, naturally, would take it on the chin.

The entire premise of a perceived "fair share" is ambiguous at best.

The fairy tale of "Utopia" is like "perpetual motion", it does not and cannot exist.

Perpetual motion's downfall is gravity, Utopia's downfall is human nature.

Achievers in America try for the East Hamptons, the irresponsible left wants us to have East Germany.

When we removed the requirement for property ownership in order to vote, we allowed the “non-productive” elements of society to vote themselves largess from the treasury.

What we need now is, at a minimum, a requirement that everyone over 18 pay at least $10 in income taxes.

The Profesional Left does not believe in God, and must therefore replace Him with themselves as the natural object of veneration. YOU do not need to give to your neighbor in need because THEY will take care of everyone. You and your intentions are of no value and should never be considered.

Another way of saying it is that the Left has no problem with stripping from you every chance of being a good person unless “being a good person” means obedience to them.

Tucker Carlson, substituting for Dennis Miller yesterday, believes that 30% of the population needs royalty or some other physical being to put on a pedestal and depend on. My person estimate has always been that 1/3 of the population will do anything necessary to ensure they are protected and taken care of. The Left is filling the vacuum they created by throwing God out of normal public discourse.

As I have been preaching. A human starts with a choice, does God exist or not. Most deep thinking individuals look at society and see the fact that some people succeed and “earn more stuff” than others. If he chooses to reject God his only option is the direction Marx took. If he chooses to believe and seek understanding of God he realizes that the only “fix” for society is a faith in God.

So the “left” is essentially anti-God.

It does not work and there is no where on this earth where you can point to a social/economic success under a Communist system. These countries are poor, often violent, underdeveloped and crawling with barely concealed (in some cases-VERY overt) social discord and class animosity. NOTHING can wallpaper over that kind of rancor. Russia will be decades yet recovering from THEIR misguided experiment with this nonsense.

It did not even work in Russia where it was invented. They cannot even successfully export it!!! Liberals want this for us? Personally, I make no distinction between Socialism and Communism since I am convinced that both equally dehumanize society at large and stunt individuality.
