You can only pull off miracles so many times. Eventually skill will out.

Bottom line. Ghana was better except for the first 30 minutes of the second half. The US defense was disgraceful.

According to the rules of engagement the Sons of Sam only attack if you attack them first.
That's probably the nicest way of saying: Stop conceding early goals.

Ah well, it was painful but the reality was that Donovan and Howard were carrying us and Altidore who was supposed to be the scorer was INVISIBLE the whole time.
Kudos to Clint Dempsey who gave everything and it showed.
Now we can forget this ‘global” propaganda and get back to the real football...NFL.

The US need a couple of individuals within the team. They have a solid foundation of players but just lack that individual brilliance.
Not being cruel, but I wonder how many coaches at the lowest age groups know anything about the game.

Where is the field goal or the two run homer when we need it? Soccer will always suffer from the lack of scoring and the inability to come back late in the game. Most of the time, 1-0 is pretty much lights out.

Hopefully this means we’ll be reading far fewer posts about kickball.

It is too bad that the US team lost, but my God, the only way I could get though games was to DVR them and fast forward through more that half of it, and put it on 2X speed-up for the rest!
Soccer is such a snore of a sport to watch!

Noble effort they just came up a little but short. The Ghana game winning goal and a good effort. He did a great job of keeping his balance and kicking it in the goal. Nice effort USA.
To: Big Bureaucracy
They either have to reduce the number of players or eliminate the offside rule. The current game is pretty boring. The defense is too strong. Way too strong.

The US team was very fit. Skill levels were abysmal for a World Cup level team. They really ought to cut a team from our World Cup qualifying group and hand it out to Africa.

5-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant and two-term US President Bill Clinton brought star-shine to the VIP box. Both proved to be successful in their career with just occasional distraction of a sex scandal. The Bad Boys cheered for Team USA faithfully.**********************

New Coach needed. This team was sleeping at the start of every stinking game. They were also physically weak. You gotta do more than jog and windsprints. Hell we’d kick the ball and with the exception of Donovan, the ball would trickle from the American feet like a baby was kicking it.
Coffee and a Marine DI to start.
In practice when they miss on a one-on-one, they need to carry a 50 lb sack of shiite around for an hour....we must have had 3 or 4 opportunities 1 on 1. Take advantage of opportunites or you don’t score, just like Life.
