For a Democrat he seems eminently qualified. Has anyone ever heard Mayor Daley utter a correct sentence?
Family discussion:
Poppa says, ”Alvin’s too stupid to be a soldier. What shall we do?”
Momma says, “We could buy him a shop to run.”
Poppa says, ”Naw! He’s too stupid to manage a shop.”
Momma asks, “Can we buy him a farm?”
Poppa says, “Naw! He’s too stupid to be a farmer. Hey! I got it. Let’s make him a senator. I’ll talk to some of the boys to get the word around. True representative of the people and all that!”
Mamma says, “By Jove! I think you’ve got it!”
