Don’t you have to be Speaker or member of the Congressional Black Caucus to behave like that? What a jerk.

I mean he IS a public figure, and constituents have a RIGHT to know who he is...but does he have a RIGHT to know who the person is who puts a camera in his face? Wow, what a grace in the public servant...to grab a poor kid just trying to get some answers about his work in Washington. North Carolina.. help us all, and get rid of this piece of trash.

I e-mailed a link to this along with a message to my Congressman telling him that this behavior is representative of how Congressional reps feel about the voters. I encourage all to do the same.

Obviously,

Etheridge does support Obama’s agenda and tactic of violence!

And who is he to be putting his hands on another person without offense.

Well this should be an easy pick-up for the GOP. I hope the kid’s filing charges. Of course the rest of the news media will ignore this story and go back to reporting on mythological death threats by “tea partiers” against Democrats.

Representative Bob Etheridge, D/NC, certainly has a chip on his shoulder.

There was no reason to escalate confrontation and evade a well dressed respectful young man's question.

Legally this is assault and battery, a Congressman may not require, a citizen to identify himself, only a peace officer may do so.
