All they said was that what they had in file was “in compliance with the laws of Hawaii” or some such. Total weaseling.
Especially since they were at the time illegally hiding the administrative rules which show what the records were in compliance with.
They weren’t forced to post the administrative rules as required by state law until early November, 2009. A year after the election was over.
Fukino had Alvin Onaka take those rules off the lieut governor’s website, saying they were supposedly being “converted” - even though no new rules have even been proposed, much less are being transitioned in. And the HDOH itself took down their Administrative Rules from their website, where they were required by statute to be posted for the public to access.
