and the second link in your post was dated 7/1/09 which is when the shutdown might have occured. that was this fy that ends 6/30/10 which was fixed, eg my layoff, and will end in the black.
Read the actual articles, we will not be in the black, 2.2 BILLION in the RED at a minimum. Chant all you want the FACTS are in, she’s a tax and spend liberal and we are IN THE RED. They will not have anything fixed. Get your fingers out of your ears and face REALITY. We’re in the red now, we’ll be in the red on 6/30/10, and we’ll be in the red even more on 6/30/11 unless we get rid of Jan Brewer the tax and spend liberal. Don’t bother to continue the conversation if you won’t join us in reality.
For the third or fourth time. If the legislature and the Gov passed a budget for ay11 which is 7/1/10-6/30/11 that is 2 bil in the red, they’ll have to fix it by 6/30/11.
I do live in reality. I processed state agency budgets as a state worker for four different state agencies.
There is a state statute that does state a budget has to end in the black each fy. If the Gov is guilty of violating it so are every member of the state legislature.
Doesn’t matter how often you repeat a lie, it’s still a lie, THEY CAN’T FIX IT.
http://newmexicoindependent.com/54881/arizona-passes-big-tax-increase-but-budget-problems-persist
In fact, the difference between Arizonas ongoing spending and ongoing revenues is $2.2 billion even with the money expected to come in from the sales tax increase, which takes effect June 1. Thats because since the recession started Arizona has lost a third of its revenue, according to the AP story.
2.2 in the hole, that’s the reality you refuse to grasp. There might be a statute but it does nothing. Nobody is going to jail WHEN we finish IN THE RED on 6/30.
Then everyone is in violation of state law. Call the police!
The third article you linked to is about next fy which starts 7/1/10.
And the police can do nothing. It’s a statute without repercussions. It’s a feel good law that can be broken any time, was broken for fiscal 09, is being broken for 10, and will be broken for 11. We are in the RED, period. Join reality.
who is your state house rep and who is your senate rep? maybe you ought to call them and repeat the allegations you’ve presented in this thread and see what they have to say about it.
Who cares what they say, it won’t change the reality of 3 red years in a row, 2 of them FORCED by tax and spend liberal governor Jan Brewer. Here’s the meat of the matter: vote against Jan in the primaries, don’t believe what she’s signed recently, remember she demanded a tax hike, remember she used threats to get it passed. That’s reality and YOU need to join it and stop apologizing for her, she’s NO GOOD. There’s a reasons she’s facing 3 primary opponents, including the comptroller she called chicken little.
“2 of them FORCED by tax and spend liberal governor Jan Brewer...”
And how did she do that?
“Theres a reasons shes facing 3 primary opponents, including the comptroller she called chicken little.”
Um she isn’t running against the “comptroller.” The “comptroller works for the Dept of Admin - Geneneral Accounting Office.
Now you’re just being deliberately dense. I’ve told you a dozen times how she shutdown the government because she wouldn’t sign the budget that actually balanced because it didn’t include her pet tax increase. And she once again this year wouldn’t sign one that actually balanced. And for your other one, yes indeed the guy she called chicken little for warning that cuts had to be made is running against her.
At no time was the gov’t shut down.
Now you’re just plain a liar. We’re done. Bye.
I think you are referring to State Treasurer Dean Martin. Treas Martin was also in the state legislature for three fiscal years and voted for budgets proposed by now Secty of Homeland Security (then AZ Governor) Janet Napolitano. Maybe is Treas Martin who is to blame for the budget mess.
BTW, its against the rules for personal attacks. Being called a “liar” is a personal attack.
How is AZ gonna afford that?
We all chip in for gas and the leasing of buses.
I say go for it.
MUCH better than the 1% and 2%(food) sales tax increases in Phoenix and AZ
Hey you could of put it on the ballot or lobbied your local legislator.
