If I were Arizona, I’d say, “Fine - We give in. We’re changing our policy. From now on, we are giving FREE BUS RIDES to California for any one who wants them. We won’t ask for your papers and don’t care why you’re going there.” I’d line up hundreds of busses a day along the border, pack them full with border crossers, give them a box lunch, and a free trip to California. I’d repeat that process until Arnold cries uncle.

Well if they are still 2.2 bil short in next year’s budget which starts 7/1 its everyones fault; including the republican led state legislature.

they pass it and she signs it.

No it’s Jan’s fault, she’s the one that wouldn’t sign the budgets that actually worked, she’s the one that called the comptroller a chicken little, she’s the one demanding tax increases in a recession. They gave her a budget that would work, she shut down the government refusing to sign because it didn’t have her tax increase. It is 100% her fault because she’s a tax and spend liberal who refuses to make the cuts that are necessary and is willing to do anything to increase taxes.

” ... she shut down the government ....”

That was the prior fy that ended 6/30/09. This years’ budget that started 7/1/09-6/30/10 will end in the black. And the next ay 7/1/10-6/30/11 was passed by the legislature and signed by her.

No it will not end in the black. Finally found some dates:
www.fusd1.org/fusd1/lib/fusd1/Budget_Outlook_FY10,_FY11_web.ppt

Shows this year as 2 billion in the hole and next year as 3.3, which is now projected at 2.2 because of the supposed revenue from the tax hike. These were the budgets she demanded and they didn’t balance anything. She was presented with budgets that balanced but wouldn’t sign, this sea of red is the result of her “compromises”. That’s what tax and spend libs do, raise taxes, spend spend spend and don’t worry if it doesn’t balance. This is the crap that’s why in March she was polling around 12% in the primary, now she’s snowing people over by rubberstamping what the legislature puts in front of, two years she’s been avoiding signing any of this stuff, including balanced budgets, until she saw the polls.

They’re not going to fix it, they can’t fix it, the governor won’t sign a budget that fixes it.

It agrees with the stories from this week on the passing of the tax increase.

It isn’t fixed. Illegal or not we are in a hole, a big hole that Jan DEMANDED and that her tax increase will not fix even if it gets the revenue projected. You lost your job as part of insufficient budget cuts. One third of the revenue is GONE and they only cut the budget by one fifth, that leaves 13% of the former revenue that they’re still spending. Because governor Jan refused to make the cuts necessary. Refused to make them when she took office, refused to make them last year during the “showdown” and continues to refuse to make them for the upcoming fiscal. And the dems in the legislature are aligned with her so she can’t be overridden.

That should be all the proof you need that she’s a tax and spend lib, a bunch of democrats are what’s allowing her to pull this crap off.

You are uninformed. This year’s budget that ends 6/30/10 will end in the black.

Next years’ budget that starts 7/1/10 which is ay11 may be in the red but it has been signed. There will not be a gov’t shutdown.

Sorry bub the only uninformed one here is you, this year’s budget is in the red and will finish that way, and next year’s budget is in the red even more ( http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/2010/03/12/20100312budgetvote0312.html ). I never said anything about a government shutdown for next year, I was referring to the shutdown Jan forced by refusing to sign the budget ( http://www.prlog.org/10271150-arizona-shutdown-leaves-citizens-gov-candidate-frustrated.html ).

We’re in the red, and Jan wants us there. Those are the facts, stop apologizing for a tax and spend liberal.

the first link in your post is an article dated in march of 10 that talks about next year’s budget which start 7/1/10. Like I said, it might be 2 bil in the red at this point, they’ll have to fix it by 6/30/11 so it ends in the black.
