I really must apologize to you both. I fear my words have had an unfortunate effect, and you might both be in a bit of trouble, if not outright danger.
That is, you are having conniption fits the likes of which are not commonly seen.
So again, I apologize for being right about socialism and I apologize for being right about Palin. And I deeply apologize for being right about morality.
I never intended to cause you so much psychological distress, simply by being right.

Your concern is SO effin' touching. Are you on meds? If so, increase them. If not? GET SOME!
That is, you are having conniption fits the likes of which are not commonly seen.
In your exquisite and delicate little world, I suppose not.
So again, I apologize for being right about socialism and I apologize for being right about Palin. And I deeply apologize for being right about morality.
Is your doctor Conrad Murray? It's time that he woke you up!
I never intended to cause you so much psychological distress, simply by being right.
After the good doctor backs off the Propofol, you'll be pleased to discover that it is Green Jello Day, and it is time for your lunch.
ENJOY!

I believe he was production supervisor. He was not a production supervisor. He was a union (USW) plant operator on the western side of the Prudhoe Bay field
You're wrong.
Todd Palin WAS a production supervisor.
He quit the management job and became an operator when Sarah became involved in natural gas pipeline negotiations in order to avoid a conflict of interest.
Next time do a simple web search before attempting to correct me.

Again, sorry I had to shine the light on socialism.
And on the fact that socialists, by virtue of their relativistic ideology, have barred themselves from rational discourse which requires a foundation of absolute truth.
Is there anything I can do to alleviate your pain?

Cmon now, don't be shattering the not-so-carefully constructed fantasies that make the world go round for the Sarah aficionados. They live vicariously through Sarah, be gentle with them. ;) LOL!
I'll be gentle with you.
the posters, post #146 was wrong, and if your post #147 was referring to it, yours would be ironic.

“Some of you can’t understand why any Conservative would say something unflattering against Sarah Palin. I know it pains you when we do. Like I said, I like Sarah, but I am not going to stand by and watch her support people like John McCain and Carly Fiorina without saying that I disagree, and that her continued support of severely flawed Republicans has caused me to drop my support for her. I am now looking for someone else to support. “
” We don’t like it when the Left lies to us. We don’t like it when the Left tells us we can’t voice an opinion. We don’t like it when we do express truth, and are called anti-American. But bring up one of our own fair haired people we have fallen in love with both physically and politically (no matter what they do), and it’s suddenly okay to behave just like the left. It’s suddenly okay to make excuse after excuse to shore up support for someone who is not in tune with true Conservatism enough to stop harming their own political future. It’s suddenly okay to say they did nothing wrong. It’s suddenly okay to call those who stand up and express the truth, liars, leftists, Democrat disrupters, or any other insult that comes to mind, including anti-American.
Folks, nearly all of us are very angry at the destruction being leveled on this nation. Sadly only some of us are angry for what our side has contributed toward that effort. If it’s George Bush who did something unseemly, you just don’t want to hear it. If it’s Sarah Palin who supports people who have hurt our cause immeasurably and will continue to do so, you just don’t want to hear it. And so it is, that some people would rather act just like Democrats than get the Republican party back on track. And so it is that they make every excuse in the book to back people who should never be given the reigns of power. “
“Either you’re a full-time patriot and the people you support are full-time patriots, or you’re not a patriot at all, because the folks you support are helping the left destroy us, at least part time.
I for one U.S. Citizen, will no longer stand still for that type of luke warm destructive behavior. I’m here to help any true Conservative, but I’ll be damned if I’ll support anyone who doesn’t have a clue any longer. Period. “
This is BY FAR the most thoughtful post this year at Free Republic. Read it all, FReepers...there isn’t a wasted word in it !!

I am tasked with voting for people who have shown through leadership and past actions that they understand the difference between Leftist and Conservative policy.
John McCain has been on every side of every issue. I mean that literally. John has at one point or another taken actions against every single thing I stand for. Gun rights, abortion, POWs, our military preparedness, the United Naitions, the ICC, globalism, global warming, multi-national agreements that chip away at our sovereignty... (and I could go on and on and on and on...)
So when I see what someone is willing to sign on to, to back this man, I have to shake my head and say I can not back someone who could back a person who is so damaged that he couldn’t see these issues clearly.
Backing this man tells me that the person who did so, would be a big risk in a position as powerful as the Presidency of the U.S. Perhaps she would make a good local council member, but she’ll not get my vote for president now. McCain was too much to swallow on the merits, but now she has also backed Carly Fiorina. I’m done.
When the left wants to do something in the U.S., I would want Sarah to understand the issue and disagree. She doesn’t understand the issues with McCain, the myriad ones that have destroyed him with Conservatives, so why would I think she could understand complex issues from the Oval Office?
I don’t dislike her, but I’m done with any support of her political aspirations.

For decades the socialists have been relentlessly advancing their agenda, unwavering, never sacrificing their beliefs. They drew a line in the sand long ago never to cross over it but pulling others over to their side.
Meanwhile those who are supposed to oppose their usurpation of the Constitution have been eagerly finding ways to step over that line by reaching out, in the spirit of bipartisanship with the misconception somehow they can appeal to and appease everyone. It is nothing more than capitulation to the very people who seek to destroy our Democratic Republic and capitalistic economy. The end result is a melding of the minds that has incrementally eliminated the two party system and replaced it with one big socialist Republicrat party. That misguided line of thinking continues to this day despite the rapid evolution of a group of grassroots people grounded in strong Conservative principles. The Tea Party is stealing a page out of the socialist playbook by drawing our own line in the sand. We will no longer sacrifice conservative principles to merely get along. We recognize our it begins and ends with the Constitution. It is grounded in the Conservative principles given to us by our founding fathers. This history and concept has been lost on the OP(formerly the GOP) wing of the socialist Republicrat party over many years.
Now they hear the Conservative clarion call from the tea party movement and are trying to masquerade their quasi socialistic beliefs during an election year. No longer will tea party members accept their deception. Charlie Crist realized our determination last month. Bob Bennett found out the hard way last week. The Maine OP received a wake up call over the weekend. We are onto John McCain and his sudden faux Conservatism. Sarah Palin better take notice supporting a trojan horse Conservative be it McAmnesty or Fiorina will not help either one of them and only hurt her. She is losing support fast. She can either change her position or get run over by the tea party express.

But in this thread, as a response to the introduction of the topic of morality as well as to my insults against socialism, their behavior has been consistent with what I would expect from marxist trolls. And your behavior has been consistent with what I would expect from someone who needs to get a grip.
The general idea seems to be: Sarah Palin is opposed to Obama; therefore anyone who argues with you about her is a Marxist. However, Palin has also praised Obama on some issues. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, but the point is, I can disagree with Palin's positions without being a Marxist. I think you would be more credible (not to mention safer from being zotted), if you say you think your forum adversaries are wrong, rather than calling them names which call your judgment into question.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are sincere. I think some of my friends have been too harsh overall with Sarah Palin, and I believe that that can lead to "beating a dead horse" threads like this one, but, I repeat, step back and look at where your line of thinking leads.

As Rush would say, what a load of Barbara Streisand.

Again, sorry I had to shine the light on socialism.
I think YOU are a socialist, and you are engaging in troll-like behavior in order to advance your cause by CLAIMING to be anti-socialist. How's that grab ya?
And on the fact that socialists, by virtue of their relativistic ideology, have barred themselves from rational discourse which requires a foundation of absolute truth.
Get someone to beat you between the shoulder blades in hopes of helping you puke up that used college textbook you somehow swallowed accidentally, ok?
Is there anything I can do to alleviate your pain?
Yeah, send Sarah over to give me a back rub, it's been a long day.
